I'm new to all this, got my first one in 07, but i sold it shortly after a year of ownership cause i decided to put a bucket over my head and be a dumba$$, i didn't realize how much i liked my mj till it was gone, and i was lucky enough to find and afford a 2nd one, and now i love it, and i will not sell this one! you can always get rid of it if you really want to, but rarely can you get them back once its gone.

My MJ is my DD and kinda curious on how many other ppl use there's as that.

my neighbor got this MJ shortly after i got my 2nd one. He found it up around KC area, its an 86 4x4 2.8L 5speed LB with D35 but he's got 4.11 gears, its the XL? package, bucket seats, delay wipers, tilt, and so on.. Right after i got into my wreck and bought my Cherokee to pull parts he decides to see if his truck would fly by driving off the road with a very large and deep ditch below :( anyway i sold him the xj and he finished it off getting all the parts he needed and in the process of fixing his truck as done SOA and painted it. still has yet to lift the front but here's the pictures. a good pedestrian bumper :yes: he got the rims off of a 04 liberty (I'm pretty sure thats what he said) still in process of getting different tires. his mom did this, made it look like wood, i like it :thumbsup:

excatly how did you "smoke" it? :popcorn: i think i oversped the motor and cooked something, i was going about 85 mph on the highway when all of a sudden it started popping/surging/losing power, until the fastest i could go was about 50... got off the highway at the next exit, and at this point you could tell there was a skip, and it was shooting a cloud of thick blue-grey smoke out the tailpipe.. i opened the hood, and EVERYTHING was soaked with oil, i think it came out of the breather at the top of the valve cover but i'm not sure.. started it up and figured out the #1 jug had a dead skip, spark getting to the plug but not firing... pulled the plug out and the end of it was covered with a ton of greasy black goop... threw a new plug in it, and the dead skip was still there, so i'm thinking that maybe the rings had it :dunno: Dang....well the positive side is at least it didnt leave you stranded in BFE. ;)

i like to leave mine in the power mode, cause when its in the comfort position it shifts to soon and dogs real bad, especially OD

i went and put little caps on mine, it would be like having a vac line with a hole in it, it screws everything else up

the thermostat i put in the other day was no good, so took it out and put everything back togather without a new one,put fluid in to it ran it for awhile then checked it and the antifreeze in my res tank had about 1/2" of foam on top, is that normal? i have never seen antifreeze foam before?
