I appreciate that  I don't know why I am putting it off? Well, that's not entirely true. Getting burned and having to pay double the price is part of it. I had to limp the Ford home - again - last night. I would love to blow it up, or sell it. Then I could get my paint job ;) . Probably be best to paint in FL in the Winter... Paint and humidity don't like each other... When is FL the dryest anyway?? That'd be the prime time to shoot some sparkles..

D@mNed good point... :wrench: I guess thats the first question Ill ask... But, I'm pretty sure he went higher.. I know he threw a Currie ARB locked 9" w/ 4.86(??) under his Jeep.... so I'm sure 4.5 just wasnt cutting it.. :dunno:

I won't have to deal with customer service. I guess I can check it out with my own eyes for the quality.. What some important issues to look for?? What would I need to look at if I had to visually inspect the parts???? My XJ would just look 100X better with just a small lil lift like that. I understand I'll need longer brake hoses, adjustable t-bar, new u-bolts, drop pitman arm(??) I've never dealt with coil spring lift before, but I've read a million and one posts about it.. 4.5" would allow 33's if I ever decided to right???

I would still flush out the heater core. I bet some trash has stopped up a few of the rails and still let enough fluid to get by and heat the lines.. I was having the same problem, then one day, I just though I'd give it a try. Its to easy to remove the heater lines and run some water though it. Worked for me, but I didnt get a temp on the lines they both just felt warm to the touch. Maybe if there was a way to actully put your hand up on the heater core to see if its warm, or shoot it with a laser to get a temp.. Is there a way to actully check the temp of the heater core inside the box????? I don't know, but would be a good way to troubleshoot it.

It would be going on my XJ as the mj is 2wd.. Has a adjustable t-bar but its separate. Oh and disconnects separate also. I really just talked to him on the phone for about 5 mins.. His wife and I has a Spanish class together. I'll get the pictures and talk with him more.. Any specific questions I need to be asking??

I know everybody hates Rustys but still seems like a good deal.. :dunno: He has some more lift stuff for sale to.. I told him Id put it up for sale here. Anyone interested? I'm waiting for him to send me some pics of everything..

jtdesigns replied to 89MJComanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Go ahead and pay the guy and tow it home to put a CPS in it. Someone chime in on the link he needs that shows where and how to replace it.. CPS= Crankshaft Position Sensor.. Unless thats what your calling the CCS?? here's one link I had Bookmarked,, not the one I'm looking for though.. http://members.cox.net/wilsond/Fixes/diagnostics.html#CPSdetails OK here's the one I was looking for http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Engine/Basic_Sensors_Diagnostics.htm I knew I had it somewhere in the land of bookmarks... -

The "Might Joe" build... -Full Console 1/25/09-
jtdesigns replied to BLHTAZ's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I know the parking brakes on the floor on a mj......... :fs1:  :D  Seems like on those cup holders if you could cut the holes larger and put something back that would allow big/larger cups. You don't have to worry about an e-brake, and there is lots of unused space under it all.. -

What all had to happen to make those (seat belts) fit?? Also those cup holders kinda suck... Nothing fits in them, except change and a pack of smokes.. I have one on my XJ and thinking about taking it off cause I can't use the hand brake because of it.. I mean I need the hand brake to drift through the curves you know... -
Pete... You playing around with the software arent you...
