  1. Not mine.. You said yours was a CJ. The CJ model 20 axle did not have one-piece shafts. The MJ/XJ model 20 axle did. Right... My CJ.. I didnt read MJ. I'm glad the MJ's came with one piece axles.. I hate for any of my Comanche Brethren to deal with those two piece craps. But,, its not like every Comanche has them..
  2. I have my dash off right now waiting to pull my heater box and seal up some cold air leaks. I don't think I'm going to replace the heater core like I need to, but I was thinking I could give it a good acid flush.. Think muriatic acid would do the trick, without killing the core????
  3. I got my alt rebuild for half the price of the new one.. I'd go that route if I were you.. 40 bucks is way better then 90...
  4. Well I said this before,, but the AMC20 I had in my 78 CJ was a POS.... Well my main gripe was with the two piece axle shafts... I spun two of them on the hubs.. I was running 15/35-15 super swampers though, with a bowtie 289 V8 powerpack motor .. Not only did I spin those hubs, but also ruined a chrome Cragar super star when a lug nut spun in the hub.. Only way to remove it was cut the lug nut off.. :fs1: :headpop: This was in 94, and I still have parts off that Jeep scattered in the barn.... If anyone ever gets a AMC20............. Better make d@nmed sure to put one piece axles in that SOB...
  5. As in Liberty CRD an Cherokee CRD.. I know their diesels, but what does the acronym stand for?? Common Rail Diesel????
  6. well 3 years.... Is the old iron still chugging?
  7. Nice..
  8. Oh sure welcome him with a beer and a "CJ", but cause I have an XJ I get it all day. I see how it is  But... The longer you keep driving that XJ(the way you drive) Its going to turn into an MJ in time... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
  9. Ummmmmmm..... You win....... Whats the skateboard looking bike thing???
  10. That should work,,, but..... Its going to be kinda hard to explain where the dent and silver paint came from on your truck though...
  11. Your crazy if you trade that CJ for that MJ..... I know opinions are like buttholes everyone has one and they all stink, but you will regret it I promise. Save up for you a MJ and buy one..
  12. He did say bike...... :rotfl2:
  13. Did you ever say what year that bumper was?????
  14. If you put the decals on it will look 100% like a 97-up factory truck.. I wouldn't put the decals on unless you shave the door handles, emblems, ect.
  15. :hijack: Yeah I guess Ill just have to crawl up under it and see how much room I have.. I have a ax15 to swap in this spring,, so maybe after I swap the tranny..
  16. blah, blah, blah... :teehee: :agree: Cards D was on it.. I still think the stronger team lost and Pitt was just lucky on some plays.... I didnt have my nose in every sec of the game, but what I saw was the Cards looking pretty durn strong when I did... I was still happy the Steelers won cause I stand behind my buds, and if y'all like the Gold 'n' Black,, well so do I!! I don't watch alot of sports like some of you's..
  17. Lot of help you are... :shake: I guess so... sounds like alot of work just for seats though... end... :hijack:
  18. ok...... The bushing listed on Rock is probably for the axle end. You might get away with tightening it up on the frame end. Mine on my truck was lose, but when I tried to tighten it it started spinning at the frame end.. It turned into a big PITA to get that POS off....
  19. ok. I thought maybe he was  ummmmmm,,, yeah... my bad dog..... :D I fixed it now..
  20. Most refer to it as "Time Attack" More on time not side by side racing.
  21. MJs interiors and floors will not differ because it's 2wd or 4wd. How much of that hump is actully used in the mj's?? I have a 2wd is there more space from the tranny to the floor?? Like... could I cut a section out and fab a slot to allow wider seats in there?? I have a super comfortable Honda Prelude seat that I would love to put in my MJ. I've had them in , but that freaking hump is humongous!!! The ludes seats are just really wide and flat on the bottom.. Front wheel drives don't have the hump, so I'd need to cut a channel out of the mj to get the seats to fit...
  22. Take the rear vac line that goes into your VC off and see if its clogged. The line (its part 1 of 2 called the CCV =crank case ventilation, the line going into the airbox is part 2 of 2) Wait... you have the 2.5 4bangger... You should have a big pvc valve on there right?... Still check that line for any clogs.. Not sure what to tell you about the pvc valve,, I'm not sure if you can replace it without going to the dealer..
  23. 89 is Renix,, 93 is Chrysler... Lost of swapping.. under the hood also.
  24. Have you done a recall check on your XJ yet?? My 96 had a cat recall and I got a new one installed for free.. Worth calling your dealer about..
