  1. I saw a good write-up on NAXJA where somebody mounted the reservoirs up inside the fenders like where the later model washer tank is. Those shocks look crazy long and skinny..

The thumb law!! Classic.. I always am the scrotum when we play that... You ever heard of the "Waterfall"?
  5. I agree.. I've always liked those lil bullet side trucks.. I bough me 4 boating cleats, kinda like the pic, I'm going to mount them on my old bed to help tie down things.. One point about my liner is it covers the tie downs..
  6. Welcome to my day to day. Flipping through project threads sucks without any pics............... at least you can surf the actual web, I'm restricted to AKO on work computers... of course as a lower enlisted I don't have a need for being on a computer really  lol,, Ol' AKO/DKO.. I remember I hated having to come up with those crazy passwords all the time... Best use of an Army PC is TM's.. All the dielectric grease I've ever seen is clear, and kinda thin.. Does any company still make the thicker yellow stuff?
  7. Aluminum is to soft to "sand" blast.. The wheels will come out looking like raw cast iron.. Ask me how I know... :smart:
  8. Well you know those bottles with the brown elixir are the cure for lobsterisiam..
  9. Its a sequential manual transmission like whats used in motorcycles.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sequential_manual_transmission
  10. Yes, I think the door locks only use a few of the notches of the key to begin with.. At least thats how I understood it when I was researching this.. This came from my local dealers parts guru, two lock smiths, and BLHTAZ, another parts guru.. can't remember who all said what, but thats the info I have.
  11. I thought those GP M3's had dog boxes in them..
  12. Next time I'm at the parts store I'm going to pick up some. Any suggestions??? Nevermind Ill pm you..
  13. So is that some kind of rubber bladder glued to the bottom?? I was just wondering what it looked like..
  14. Yeah thought about that too... I removed all the RTV from the inside of the o-ring.. I just used a toothpick to cut it all off after it all cured up..
  15. Allll and another thing....... I don't know WTF that pump slips into,, thinking the return line slips into a rubber base thing made of rubber but after I figured out something was down there it was easy to slip the pump into after small adjustments till I found the slot..
  16. Yeah I used the black RTV.. I know it isnt for gas but I only used it to glue the big o-ring to the pump. I don't think it'll leak, but I will keep an eye out on the tank. I figure if it leaks I'll just redo it. I was really surprised how easy the pump was to remove/install..
  17. OK,, here's what I did/will do.. I got a 93~94 column (whichever years had the signaw (sp?) column with the double sided key) and the matching glove box lock. The column I have is a 7 cut key,, the later years 97-up (not sure about 95-96 years xj) doors take a 8 cut key.. BUT.. a local locksmith (very good, non-hack place) told me to remove the doors locks and bring them the key for the column. They can re-key the door locks to match the column key. The two keys are identical (7 cut=??years/ 8 cut=later years) only the 8 cut are longer. In other words both keys will fit either lock. So for around 10 bucks apiece I'll have matching keys for everything. I hope,, at least thats the plan..
  18. Another quick note... The new o-ring gasket for the pump/sender was just a tad to small,, So to combat that I used some RTV to kinda glue the o-ring down stretched out around the "bump" on the sender.. I tried to use some clamps to hold it down didnt work,, but a few (4) of the little toothbrush type of wooden wire brushes with rubber bands around the ends, across the outside of the housing, then hooked on the brushes other end held the o-ring in place long enough for the RTV to set up and hold the o-ring in place.. Made installing the pump 1000000000000000x easier..
  19. Well, on a good note, I got new injectors, a pressure regulator, some new o-rings,a new filter, new pump, some new hose clamps, and a great big headache from this little experience.!! :D If I only new how easy it was to put the pump,,, I might have saved a lil money.. :teehee:
  20. Makes me want a NSX...
  21.    Me too!!!!!
  22. Yea, it looks nice laying like that. Is there any bed in there at all? Do you have pictures of the rear setup? I want to get mine down about 3in to see where it sits. Get it looking something like this: those look a little smaller but the picture title says 20's. I would like to fit 18's really well. possibly bigger, but 18's look nice on a lot of things. Whos truck is that?????????? I LOVE it.. I like the wheels too.. and the rock slider is sweet as all get out on that truck... Thanks for the picture and inspiration...
  23. I think that was some great out of the box thinking I've seen in a long time.. I think its pretty cool.. I wouldnt be offended at all. I have some Cherokee blood in me, not enough to even matter though.. And about the spiritual drug thing.. I good friend of mine in the Army was from the Navajo tribe, she had a card that let her use Peyote for Religious purposes... Pretty cool the stories she and another guy, (also Navajo) had about witch doctors and shape-shifters.. Very cool and interesting to me.
  24. I'd rather have the one with the Hayabusa engine in it thought..
