I am nopt sure of the going price out there.. but if it is as rust free as it looks.. the price seems right.. at least for an east coast vehicle. Look for the tell tail signs of a repaint. check to make sure the door jamb color matches the outside color, look under the bumpers... under the hood. The 1ton JP pickups are hard to find.. even in farmer country

You can fit 33's with liberal trimming and 2" BB. with 6" and lots of trimming and bumpstops.. you can fit 37's I am going to fit 42's with about 8".. but I won't have any sheetmetal left

KInda a high price for 1/2 ton d44's. I just passed up a set of 3/4 ton chevy axles.. and they had 4.10's complete for 300

Bleeding my brakes all at once?
pingpong replied to jtdesigns's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
buy a set of speed bleeders... makes real quick work out of bleeding brakes. You can get the front and rear bleeders from Napa for under 30 bucks -
Isn't that what is wrong with today's churches.. all the hidden agendas. ;)

I am pretty cut and dry on this topic. "Don't DO the Crime IF you Can't do The Time" The laws are there for a reason... no matter how stupid we feel they are the states and insurance companies have made DATA based decisions, and found that younger drivers need restrictions placed on their drving abilities. Now This goes for everyone. If you are speeding... and get a ticket.. don't get made at the officer  Thank him for doing what you pay him to do.. after all he is only enforcing the laws... and he is paid to write that ticket. :brows: Insurance is a big scam.. you pay and pay... then if you need to use it.. you get busted open with increased premiums  For you yopunger folks.. Protect your credit.. your credit score has a huge affect on your insuirance premiums, as do tickets, and other crimes you might commit. A drunk in public.. is the same as a DUI to many insurance companies.

I have a friend from a Guard unit deployed there now, thats who I have been sending stuff too.. if you want his address PM me and I will be happy to hand it over. Robert is pretty cool too.. didnt know it.. but his wife cousin goes to church with my family, and when my wife had her Sunday School class (6-8 yr old) make christmas cards, for his squad.. he made sure everyone got one, and even shared his cake and candy that was sent along as well

Good Fix Method for Rusted Through Bed Skins?
pingpong replied to 89MJComanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I was thinking front fenders would make good patches.. as the wheel whell is all ready there. You would have to be good with the cutoffwheel or the plasma... but I think it would look good -
I told my wife about that fancy candle holder you got there.. and showed it to her... AND i got one of them looks like if I even dare to think about it..

MERRY CHRISTMAS I want to say that to everyone.. also have a safe and prosperous new year. Be thankful for what you have... and what you don't have.

MOst defiantely thank them. I have been known to buy soldiers/airman drinks in the airport as they wait. I have a few friends over in the sandbox right now... and they recieve packages from me every couple of months filled with things they need/enjoy. Just so you know.. a kind word or a card can make a persons day when they are in the dumps in a foriegn country

Well my 90 model MJ SWB is having driveability issues. It starts up and runs fine, but as it warms up it starts to miss. It stays running though. Then while drivng it.... it starts to cutt off when it idles down. It has restarted so far... except for one time.. then I let it sit.. and it started right back up. Any ideas? Thanks Pat

Congrats on your dog doing better  You can ask anyone who has been to my house.. the Dogs run it. I have 2 one is a chow/akita mix (115lbs of pure love) the other is a chow/australian sheppard mix(70 lbs of.... he don't know you get out of here). I wouldn't trade them for the world. Waldo has allergies.. we spend about 100 bucks a month on meds for him. Pet insurance is available... but the copays and premiums are based on the type and size of dog.. so I am screwed

I was once told "walking ain't crowded". Just keep your nose clean, and wait till you can drive legally again. It really isn't worth driving with no license or a suspended one. After you pay to learn to drive the speed limit.... you will realise that you don't get anywhere by breaking the traffic laws.. but an empty wallet. Been there and done that

Yep. I sure can! If that won't mess your eyes up lets kick the horse one more time :redX:

I just did this on my 90 MJ. I would just replace the whole line all the way back. Napa sells the correct fitting for the rear line as it is different then the otheres.. some kinda metric thing. take your time and make good bends, and try and keep the line running in the factory brackets. Also would be a good time to replace your rear flex line, as it is lible to be rusted in place too.

Check out my webshots link.. You can see the rails I had on Pong. They were 2x3x1/4 with 2x2x1/4 mounting legs. I had three mounts per side, plus a piece of 1x1x1/8 angle on the pinch seam.. . I used 3/8 self tapping bolts to mount the legs to the frame. -
Jeff if you want a grille like that.. I can make you one  You know I have a few skills :D
-
All I can say is bump stops are your friends.. or cut the metal to the point of no return.. and cut it higher then the inner fender.. no issues rubing on the fenders then :brows: but you will crush your downtube

When I do final assembly of my np203tod300 I plan on doing a complete writeup.. Including the making of the triple stick setup

400sbc in the jeep
pingpong replied to billybob_jeep's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
I hope you got some stout motor mounts to limit motor flex... otherwise your headers are going to be dented like the down pipes on every jeep I have ever seen with the straight six -

I just bought a real clean 90 MJ SWB with a 4cyl/4spd. II got it way cheaper then what you are about to pay. Key is.. to look underneath, epecially at the brake lines by the fuel filter. This is where they tend to rust in 2. Also look in and around the wheel wells and cab corners... The main problem with the left coast rides are the interior.. the sun is real rough on it. On the right coast it is rust.
