Renix is not OBD I. OBD I was used in the MJ 91-92 and the XJ 91-95. Renix is a whole different animal.

Dana 35 3.08 Diff Questions/help!
Geonovast replied to starkizer's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Just out of curiosity.... what ratio IS that XJ 44? It seems the most common ratio for those is 3.07. A good number of us would kill to pay $180 for an XJ/MJ D44 that doesn't have 3.07. -

$80 seems a bit steep for something you could probably get from a CC member for a couple bucks... Even if I was willing to pay that much for freakin spiders, there's no way I would put new ones in an axle that's got damage to everything else. Something happened to that axle that cause the bolts to break, it could easily keep breaking apart and dump your $80 down the drain. Plus, I have no idea where they're getting 94+ from. The changes in the spiders/side gears would have been in 1990, when it went to a c-clip axle. I highly suggest putting up a WTB thread for non c-clip D35 spiders and just run those until you can get around to replacing your axle. Also - there's no shock mount welding on an MJ axle. The shocks mount to the spring plates. If you pick up an XJ axle, you can hack the shock mounts off and forget them, you'll just need to get MJ perches on. -

You can't just swap out the insides of the axle. Gears need to be set up properly when installed, and gears from another axle will not be correctly set if put in a different housing. -

I've seen R&Ps go for $150... those spiders better be made out of diamond. -
If you're still confused, hopefully this will help.

Adding an extra leaf to an SUA vehicle doesn't move the axle... the axle is still sitting directly on top of the main leaf, and all the addition leaves go under the main leaf. When adding an AAL to an SOA vehicle, yes, the thickness of the leaf adds height.

I'd... take the refund.

Jim, are you by chance double clicking on the quote button? I just tried it, and that would make it post twice. You only need to click once.

Most wireless mice are already paired with their receiver. They'll work with their receiver, and no others. The only mice I've ever seen with a sync button are the ones that come with keyboards, and the keyboard and mouse share a receiver. I paid $35 for my mouse... but it's bluetooth, and I don't have to worry about sucking up a USB port with one of those stupid dongles.

From what I understand with having hung out with a lot of Supra guys back in HS, it's not difficult to mount an R154 behind a 4.0, or to get an AX-15 behind the 7MGE or 2JZ motors. Personally I'd be comfortable sticking in an AX-15, and if you happen to kill it, then look for upgrading.

Pugeot Question/ General Tranny Questions
Geonovast replied to Oddmodman's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The AX-15 and AX-15 look very similar. Some key identifiers are that the AX-5 has a steel midplate, while the AX-15's is aluminum. Also, the AX-5 has a raised shift tower, while the AX-15's in nearly flush with the rest of the case. As for your current problem, the Pukey may be stuck in a single gear, explaining why you get movement on the output, but it won't shift into any gears. That cup may have worn down enough where it popped out of place while the trans was in gear. You'll have to pull the shifter and see if all the shift rails are lined up.- 21 replies

Yeah... I think you're out $5.

Have you tried a different battery? It must have been DAMN cheap, Wal Mart has crappy wireless mice for $12.

One way to get an idea where the sound is, is to pull the oil fill cap out while it's running, and watch one of the rockers. If the noise is the same speed as the rocker is moving, it's in the valve train, if it's twice as fast, it's in the rotating assembly. After that, I would poke around with a stethoscope and see if you can at least identify if it's a lifter or if it's further up.

Liberty H8'ers Got Their Wish...replacement To Be Called "cherokee"

I lost hope for the Jeep brand when this rolled out of the factories: -
I think you should do your RC MJ before we get a hole. Holes are unacceptable.

The multiquote is for when you want to quote more than one person in the thread. I was thinking that you might have been hitting that instead, and since it's programmed to have at least two quotes, it doesn't know what to do, and it doubles it automatically.

Replacement For A 2.5 Tb?
Geonovast replied to Zenobian_84's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The HO throttle bodies are identical except for the one for the 4.0 reportedly having a slightly bigger opening. I put a 92 4.0 TB on my 91 2.5 and didn't notice a difference. -
When you quote someone, are you hitting the quote, or the multiquote button?
