Mike is working on the design now If you get over there with your Jeep, you could have the first prototype :brows: -

From the pictures on the website, the rails have tubes that are mounted inside of the foot. Smaller diameter tube into a larger diameter tube system. This angle problem could be solved by cutting the tube use for the feet, at the correct angle, and then welded the mounting plate on( plate-> /= <- foot tube). Just need to make sure the rail legs are all the right length. This sounds like an easy hurdle to pass? I am missing something?- Rich -

Really, I will have to check that out. The rail would have to have the supprts under the cab, because there is only about 12 inches of frame available to mount a foot to behind the cab. How many angles are on that part of the frame? Mike says he has a Comanche at the shop, he will be able to work off of that. I just don't know if it is a LWB or SWB? offroader461 - heck yeah, give him a call. I believe the timing is right, a few MJers have expressed interest, and he has a Comanche at the shop giving him ideas! -
I have been waiting for the vender on here to get back to us on the MJ rock rails. It doesn't look like that is going to happen  So, I contacted Mike at Proto Fab- http://www.protofab4x4.com -about modifying the XJ ROCKSOLID ROCK RAILS for the MJ. I am trying to guage interest in these for a group purchase/discount. I would love to be able to go back to Mike and say that there is an overwelming interest in these. Anyone else interested?

4.6 is it real or not
Drahcir495 replied to project88mj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
YES! I may be getting mine from here http://www.titanengines.com/Products.html and here are two build-up links that should give you an idea on what is involved/costhttp://www.bc4x4.com/tech/bryce/stroker/stroker.cfm http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/stroker.html -
88swampedmj, This is a picture of my 1989 block out of an MJ that I am going to build a stroker out of - Hole there, but smaller. They may have enlarged the hole for better lubrication? :dunno: Hope that helps, Rich

Diving into to work today, I thought about this post. I almost hit a woman, with the car, when she darted out into traffic to save the Snapping turtle that looked just like the one CW posted a pic of. I guess, the turtles life was worth more then hers? It was funny watching "Snappy" pop of one of her fingers in rear view mirror :brows: Got to love a woman with 9 digits

"just drop a (name engine here: 4.0, 3.4, 2.8, v8 ) in it." lol. Are you worried about the possible gains being choked off by the stock emmisions/fuel system? From my understanding, the Renix system is very forgiving. You may want to increase the fuel pressure and step up to a bigger TB if going with the suggested mods.

Wow, you have done a lot to the MJ  The last time I saw your build-up page, you were modifying your rollbar. I think that was in Oct!? Jeeze, I need to get out of tech a little bit more - Rich
-
Yeah! See, I like the look of that. Great minds think alike CW ;) I did not want to risk screwing up the originals, so I picked up a pair of all black latches from a cherokee to practice on. I like the way they came out, so I will stick with them - Rich

I look at it as giving me time to get everything I want/need to have it finnished :brows: . It is a long tale ~ I have known the guy forever, and he gave me a deal?? He started to prep the MJ when he found out he needed brain surgery. Survived, and had to go back in for another surgery on his noggin. Doctors did not think he was going to make it through another surgery. He is fine now, but he lost everything he had to pay the medical bills. It hasn't been an issue, because I still have the Ford. Oh, and the number one reason it has been over a year; I paid him up front. Sweet, more speakers - Rich
