    Stupid prius

That is how I feel driving the original Grand Cherokee. It is like the designers purposely made it have blind spots to make your unaware. They were many bad blind spots in them too!
  2. 23mpg with 3.21 gearing. Even without 3.73 gearing it is fast and can crawl. I recommend the Connectivity Group package. The EVIC gauges are great and have a complete menu system for configuring all the vehicle options.(Turning off hill assist, programming how the alarm works, gas mileage, etcetera.) If you want a more personal demonstration than what a salesman could give welcome to come over and I can give you a tour.
  3. Really nice for the price. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/3228305351.html
  4. Does the door open forward or backwards? If it opens backwards it would be fine. I really have no idea which way they open. Never had to do that yet.
  5. Depends on the tire and such. I prefer around 25 PSI, but heavier loads require more PSI for the best tire contact.
  6. Your 1994 XJ has an AW4 transmission.(If it was a 2.5L it would have the 30RH transmission.) 1998 was the last year for the ZJ. An AW4 will work in a ZJ, but it will also require swapping the main PCM out for a manual transmission version. If you are trying to put a 42RE/42RLE/44RE/44RH into a XJ, forget it. Their TCM does not work independently of the PCM.
  7. Lots of parts arriving, time to save up for paint! I am doing other items that need be worked on to help me find anything that might need to be done before paint. I did find another hole I need to drill in the firewall. The 1997 Cherokee never had power options so many of the wires to hook up the connectors are not on the wiring harness. As well, I would have needed to reduce the size of the harness anyway so this all works out. After lots of research, studying, and printing out connector diagrams I figured out how to rewire it cleanly. There are still three larger wires that need their own power harness wired up. 8. Yeah, we are not exactly rushing it. :D
  9. Standard Motor Products Part #DL22 - Complete set of two tumblers and two keys already keyed. http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,catalog ... _DL22.html http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SMP-DL22/
  10. And I just got a new replacement rad a few months ago that has a plastic filler neck . :( It takes hundreds of heating and cooling cycles for the plastic to get this failure point. So an original radiator with plastic tanks on a 1996 vehicle has certainly hit that mark!
  11. The vibration and twisting of the engine slowly cracks the plastic tanks which then blow apart under pressure.
  12. Smoking inside of any of my vehicles is a death sentence. I can smell smoke residue long after the smoker is dead.
  13. Right, because then they would be dead... How does that make sense?
  14. Planning on sticking with the black or a full repaint? :D
  15. Might have been the same man who bought my bed liner from me.
  16. RIPP also has a prototype supercharger made for the Wrangler 3.6L Pentastar. I am already drooling at the thought. Most of that inflated cost on AEV is the included labor charge. $8,000 for the old TJ/LJ Brute kit is not bad if you do the labor yourself. Most of the cost in the kit is just the bed.
  17. AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, and Lowes sell the clips. Should be around $2 to $5 to make a complete set. It really just helps with noise and is nice to have.
  18. New carpet is on the way. Center console, passenger door panel, passenger air bag cover, and a Select-Trac shifter bezel all in black are on their way. Soon the interior will be done and I can move up on to assembling the engine bay.
  19. Cheapest online prices, $849 for the locker and $145 for the compressor.
  20. The formula for replacing any part with a better part to be added on to the resale cost. (New part cost - OEM part cost) / 0.5 ($120 control arm - $40 OEM control arm) / 2 = $40 added in resale cost. The only reason AEV conversions manage to keep their inflated resale value is due to their rarity and stubbornness of the seller to get the price they want.
  21. Depends on the cluster. At some point they changed to welding the plastic together so it would break it you tried to disassemble it. Granted, glue can fix it! Also could just grab an older speedometer that can be disassembled easily.
  22. Okay. O_o
  23. I need a broken foot pedal parking brake to cut up. The portion where the cable snaps into the metal bracket needs to be intact. If I do not get one I will end up cutting up a perfectly good one.
  24. The Dash FITS! YEAH! SO MUCH WORK! Dash back out to modify the 1997 dash harness to work with the 1999-2001 style gauge cluster.
  25. My crappy welding will not be shown since it is covered in seam sealer! WIN! Anyway, the ENTIRE UNDER DASH SETUP IS IN PLACE! WOOOOOOOOOO! Right Floor Pan Repair Left Floor Pan Repair Footwell Pedal Area Left Firewall Pad and Steering Brace Installed Right Firewall Pad and HVAC Installed
