Does anyone else have a bucket list of trails they’d like to hit someday? Here’s my list, but I’m looking for more to add in the southwest.

Rubicon

Apache Trail

Arizona Peace Trail

Alpine Loop (Ouray and Silverton area in general)

Silverbell-Sasco Loop

Moab

Mojave Road

Rimrocker Trail

Sand Hollow

Johnson Valley

The Rubicon is the most wild, but the others are all I’d like to do in the Eagle or MJ (most likely MJ). I built the MJ for adventures years ago and I’m finally getting a job with the pay and PTO to be able to do stuff like this. Now I just need some more inspiration. And yes, I already watch @Htchevyii’s videos.

A week in Moab should be on your list for sure.  Several great trails there.

Ouray and Silverton in SW Colorado has some really great trails too, beyond the Alpine loop.

Good to know! I should’ve had Moab on there

I really enjoyed my day in the muddy trails of Rockport Offroad park in Illinois.   don't go during tick season though.  :peep:

I bet that was fun. Mud can be a good time, but I hate cleaning it up

I have had fun on myddy trails but the cleaning after is very low on my "enjoy doing" list.

I'll stick with the dry trails out west.

Is the point of the list just trails ? Scenic outdoors? Or wheeling destinations that also sport the scenic stuff?

Why not add windrock in Tennessee to your list?

Rubicon is on mine and if all plans hold i will see it next fall of 2027

A little bit of everything. Personally, I'm looking for mild stuff. The Rubicon is about as crazy as I'd want to do, and I wouldn't do it in my MJ. I don't care to play in the mud or damage body panels. But this thread is for everyone to build a list from, as they so choose.

The Mojave Road is one of my all time favorites. We've done it twice in the MJ, but there are some cool side trips that we missed and also the East Mojave route that we haven't done. Not particularly difficult, but an epic variety of scenery and cabins and homesteads if you do your research. We haven't made it to Utah yet, in the Jeep at least.

Lippencott pass and Titus Canyon in Death Valley were pretty neat too. High Rock Canyon NV is another favorite.

We don't usually do particularly difficult trails and we're normally thousands of miles from home and by ourselves. Even though the MJ is no showpiece, it's been in the family for well over 30 years and I don't plan on that ending any time soon.

Mojave:

Mojave National Preserve:

High rock Canyon and Sheldon National Wildlife Preserve:

High Rock Canyon, Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge, NW Nevada playlist:

it wasn't all that bad.  most of the deep stuff was avoidable.  definitely needed a bath after though :D

I think so.  but it's not from the big Moab trip because I didn't own the boggers yet.

I haven't done Johnson Valley but have done the others, totally worth it.  I'd love to get the MJ out there someday.

The 2000 mile drive each way makes it quite the expedition for me.

I’d be up for a Moab meetup someday. Maybe 2027? Was last there in 2017

I could hopefully do 27. 28 for sure, but 27 is decently likely depending on the time of the year.

Alright, once I'm finished up with school in the middle of May, I'll start looking into Moab more. This oughta be an adventure!
