1987-1990 Jeep Comanche Power Steering Reservoir Cap Dorman 82585 87-90 Jeep Power Steering Reservoir Cap 1988 1989

Looking for a power steering pump cap like the one pictured. Apparently they are specific to 87-90 Jeeps with I6s. Dorman stopped making them, but the part number is 82585. The Chrysler number is 83505415. I've tried ordering a few off of eBay and the order ends up getting cancelled because it isn't actually in stock. That said, does anybody have one? I'm fine with new or used in good shape.

They are quite hard to find it took me a couple of months going to junkyards to find a good one for my truck. It seems like either the breather or dipstick is broken off of most of the junkyard ones. Good luck on the hunt.

Thank you! This might be the excuse I've been needing to check out the Tucson junkyard scene.

:roflmao:I might on Saturday since I won't have work. I haven't used AC in my vehicle here yet, so I'm doing alright. Or maybe I'm an idiot. The jury is still out on that one.

I can check my yard tomorrow maybe

That would be great, thank you! I've got the truck back in storage, so no need to go to the yard unless you've already got a trip planned.

Congrats.  Reading this thread makes me think!  When I bought my 90, in 1990, I had no idea I would have it so long that something as simple as a power steering cap (or any part really) would be obsolete during my ownership!
