I recommend using the app to see what stores are closing near you. I bought every consumable incould think of. The big box is a radiator which is normally $150... I paid less than that for everything pictured. 4.0 starter for $10 steering boxes for $24

Woah nice score. Seems odd for advance to liquidate some stores. They have their own store-store shipping service, you think they would just merge store inventory like any new delivery.

I was saying the same thing today. All the rental tools (ball joint press, brake flare kit, puller sets, ect) are 70% off you'd think they would just transfer them to another store as well.

If you use the app it and pick different stores around you it will say something like "all sales final at this location" when you put something in your cart. Took me a few tries but I found one near me.

This is funny.  A sign went up this summer at a vacant lot near my office about zoning changes.  The sign mentions Advance Auto getting built on the lot.  Now I see AA is closing 700+ stores (out of ~6000 stores).  Does that mean they will not go forward with this new location?  There are already 3 locations (plus CarQuest) within 10 miles of this new location.

Looking for "all sales final at this location" doesn't work anymore on the web because it looks like they have removed the stores that are/were closing, perhaps they have now closed.  I didn't score as well as @strictlyxjs, but I did get a water pump for under $10 and a bit of oil and antifreeze at big discount so I can't complain .

That's awesome cory! I saw the bluetooth hei version on junkyard digs Those are great you can turn your coil off with your phone to deter theft and adjust timing on the fly.

I've seen that one too! The progression ignition distributor i believe. I want to reach out to them and see if I can get one for the v6.

Yeah it seems i may one day may need the bubble and I always need a double set of trouble cause I can never seem to find the damn die I need.  now Ill keep both sets in their own bag with a couple other misc brake tools being I'm messing with drum brakes yet again.

I hadn't heard that Advanced is closing stores. It's a surprise, because O'Reilly's is building new stores.

In my opinion oreilly is a whole different business model. I find advance to be sparce. Oreilly usually has everything nn Stock and if they don't they get it same day or next day. Advance is always hit or miss for me.  Have you ever noticed how oreilly stores are clean, brightly lit with white floors  while autozones are dingy and dimly lit with yellow tinted lighting. I get a dirty feeling just walking in autozone.

 

Another thing (this may be different for other people) but my local oreillys seems to have a little bit older guys working there that seem to know what they are talking about, while advance and autozone have kids right out of high schools working there.

 

The other day I witnessed a kid at autozone trying to sell an elderly woman a light bulb for her sewing machine (120v ac bulb) from the bulb section  (12v dc) by finding one with a similar end.
