Intermittent wiper module repaired

That was me Cruiser. Just got my CC hooked up and now I have an intermittent stalk with no module. On a side note, with this new stalk is the module hard to install?

You’ll need the switch that the stalk plugs into that works with the module. There are two switches for the wipers. Standard and “deluxe” as they were back in the day. Deluxe being the delay option.

I gor some repairing to do! I got cruisers modules today! And at one of the local yards I snagged what I could fine today too.

I got two ready for testing and decided to crack open the worst module in the bunch. One of the ones cruiser sent actually.. and crack open it did. The case was so brittle it cracked apart. So will have to look into options for a new case.

I have confirmed 2 working modules! I have roughly 1 minute long videos showing both in action. Truck was not running because I'm working on it so slow settings were.. slow. But they worked. And the higher the setting the faster they intermittently wiped.

@The86manche, do you still have any working to sell, or are you willing to repair mine?  I just pulled mine and restored non-intermittent functions, so it would appear mine is bad.  I might attempt to look for a visible cracked solder or trace I can reconnect, but I don't have replacement parts....

I actually recently picked up one out of a yj, I need to go through it to make sure its good. Once ive confirmed that it will be up for grabs if you want it. And if you don't mind id like to take your old one off your hands as a "core" to refurb. 

Otherwise I could go through yours for you.

I had passed them off to a buddy who wanted to look into them and he got to busy to get anywhere so the project stalled. I'm getting them back so I can continue my work.

Great!  I plan on taking a look just to see if I can find a visible fault I can just solder or jumper, probably over the weekend.  If that doesn't work I would be glad to send mine your way for core or repair.  Stay tuned!
