It was on my SWB truck, but addco doesn’t specify which it does or doesn’t fit. I’ve never looked under a long bed so I don’t know how different it would be to mount it on there.

It won’t work on the long bed. It’s a short bed bar only. Mounts on upper shock studs and only the SWB has both shocks at rear. I had one of these on my 89 MJ. Sold it to Don for his silver MJ but no luck mounting it on the LWB

I run one of these and a a 28mm front bar. Works great but it’s only for the swb.

What’s involved with installing? Obviously the clamps on the axle but what about the fixed ends?

The bar attaches to the axle with u bolts and plates and the frame side attaches to the factory shock studs. Very simple design/installation.

I am interested, does any one know if this is compatible with a Dana 44?

It is. Axle doesn’t matter so long as your truck is a short bed.

Locktite that upper shock nut plenty. I got rid of mine because it kept coming loose. Could have drilled hole/ castle nutted it. Keep an eye on it.
