Eagle
Be sure to check your heater blower, and the resistor pack. Mice like to build nests in the blower, and if (when) the nest material builds up around the resistor pack it blows the thermal fuse.

Big Dan
I have three cats that stay outside and sleep in my shop. Theres at least one murder scene a week (squirrels/rabbits/birds). If nothing else, it's good pest control.
dasbulliwagen
Yes, pull the fan out and inspect. theres probably stuff in there too. My donor truck had the HVAC housing full of mouse house. I completely disassembled and cleaned it all before I installed it in my truck adding AC.

mjeff87
I had my MJ in an outbuilding on the family farm for more than a few months over a spring/summer when I converted it to 4WD. Got it all done, jumped in and fired it up and promptly created a snowstorm of bedding material inside the cab. Nesting material (and God knows what all else) blew out of every vent in the dash. That was not a fun day.

mjeff87
Most of it, from what I could tell anyway, was little pieces of carpet padding. And straw/grass. And it all STUNK.
watchamakalit
I took off down the road in mine once after a hibernation in the back yard for a couple months and out of the lower heater ducts came baby mice. Never did find momma.
