eaglescout526 Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 I almost wonder if it would be worth it to put a weather pack connector for all the sockets just to make replacing them in the future easily.

Jesse J Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 ok well spring break is this week and I am going to try to fix my turn signals and if I have the time maybe get to building a tcase skid plate but I doubt that will happen. how many wires are supposed to be coming into the housings? I don't think I have enough
jdog Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 I wanna say 3. I have replacement sockets for the front if interested
Jesse J Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 my front ones work (they don't blink yet don't have the flasher in) my rear ones are messed up
Jesse J Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 oh thats why well off to napa to fill them up. In all seriousness I am having a hard time finding a wiring diagram that is helpful
Jesse J Posted April 6, 2021 Author Posted April 6, 2021 both of the sockets I have have 3 wires and the other ones have 4-6

I dunno what yours looks like When speaking vehicle it's is with you in the driver's seat facing out the windshield so drivers is left.

jdog Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Pictures of taillight wiring and we'll help you decipher what's bad. You are welcome
Jesse J Posted April 7, 2021 Author Posted April 7, 2021 Ok so the passenger side is the side with the new sockets and things. I have no clue if that is right I just wired it how it was originally wired or at least my best attempt. Sorry the pictures aren’t great
Jesse J Posted April 7, 2021 Author Posted April 7, 2021 Ok so some serious funkiness none of the reverse lights work. The passenger brake/ running light gets darker when the pedal is depressed. Nothing else works
jdog Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 Looks like a broken bulb, when you say darker, sounds like the wires are flipped. As for the reverse lights does it have the trans fuse in the fuse block. Also do you have a test light?
eaglescout526 Posted April 7, 2021 Posted April 7, 2021 I would like to add that you can put the bulbs in wrong in the tail lamp sockets. I have done and seen it before.
Jesse J Posted April 7, 2021 Author Posted April 7, 2021 Oh ok. I still need to take a stab at it I’ve been working on other things
Jesse J Posted April 8, 2021 Author Posted April 8, 2021 ok early this morning I wired up the rear sockets and everything on the passenger side. the drivers brake light works . but the rear turn signal is just permanantly on drivers side. and he drivers side reverse light works correctly. the passenger reverse light is backwards on when forward off when backwards. the passenger turn signal is always on and the brake light doesnt come on.
Jesse J Posted April 8, 2021 Author Posted April 8, 2021 this is so funky I have no clue where to start
