we might need a bit more to buy up all of Vancouver.     but we might be able to buy some shovels and make an island outta sand and rock right next to a beach.

the residents eventually won the court case, but a few years ago my Aunt found out the township was repaving their side street... and charging only the people on that street... to the tune of 50 grand per house or some such thing...  and the residents didn't have a say...  yeah, that didn't go over well.
