Pete M Posted February 20, 2021 Author Posted February 20, 2021 she's still capable of driving me to town or to the junkyard, but I just can't trust it to pull a trailer. thankfully I've got the PT Cruiser mostly functional again so our household is back to 2 and a half cars.
89 MJ Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 It would be really cool to use an MJ to tow that trailer. Hopefully someday.

89 MJ Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Do you know why the Libby is going into limp mode?
Pete M Posted February 20, 2021 Author Posted February 20, 2021 yes and no. the code reader says one thing, the CRD enthusiasts say it actually means something different. I just haven't been able to give her any love lately to dive deeper into the root cause.

I have one

If you decide to do that proyect I can help you finding parts for it, I'm currently living in Spain were those CRD KJ'S are more likely to find in junkyards.
Jesse J Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 I am surprised you own a libby pete, to be honest.

If you'd like to know more about them, I highly recommend this forum http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=5&sid=bc968cb8e3226e1c6273d2619fdf7551

I'm considering a diesel option for one of my MJ's

Jesse J Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 wow I am very surprised that you towed with it
Pete M Posted February 22, 2021 Author Posted February 22, 2021 a 5k tow rating and gobs of torque. I'd wager that more than half of her 200k miles are towing/hauling something.
Pete M Posted February 23, 2021 Author Posted February 23, 2021 number 14. pretty beat up, but rust free and came with a frame.
