Dzimm
I came across this article this morning. Anyone recognize the MJ in the article? https://www.autoweek.com/car-life/classic-cars/a33862184/street-spotted-jeep-comanche/

eaglescout526
I kinda want to know what made them think its an 88. 88-90 are pretty identical with no distinguishing differences. Unless they got the VIN and ran it.
NHMJXJ
Looks like a Connecticut tag on it. Might send a pointer to Jay Ramey (the author of the article) about CC.com. There are a number of trucks in here that could stand up against the one pictured. I wonder, is he the guy who solicited input from the membership for input toward an article? A couple years ago someone posted a request for interviews.

gogmorgo
Don’t need to “run” the vin through anything. 10th digit is always model year, and it’s a standardized digit across all manufacturers. ‘88 is J.

Well yes on that technicality but 91-92 are distinguishable by the three piece grill set up.
