89 MJ Posted April 24, 2021 Author Posted April 24, 2021 Well, he was able to pick up a straight and solid tailgate for it. It cost $200, but it was cheaper and easier than fixing his orange one.

I’m kicking around the thought of driving down your way when school is out to hit some JYs for parts for this thing. He does have the rear bumper on the orange truck, and it’s fixable, but I don’t know if it’s worth fixing. 30 minutes ago, MiNi Beast said: I trust my rust. To kill vehicles maybe.
89 MJ Posted June 10, 2021 Author Posted June 10, 2021 The LS and 4L60E are getting cleaned up and the computer is getting sent out to get tuned. He will pull the axles out of the orange truck to swap into the yellow one because they have better gears.
Goose_XJ88 Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 Man, the patina on the orange tailgate is what Ive been looking for to turn into a coffee table. Too bad were so far from each other.

Pete M Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 can't possibly be that much. it's not fragile. wrap some cardboard around it and ground ship that puppy!
89 MJ Posted June 14, 2021 Author Posted June 14, 2021 74k mile LS getting cleaned up to go in the yellow truck. The orange truck is giving up its axles for the yellow truck and is being parted out.

Pete M Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 ahh, back in the day when the front clip actually came off as a unit.

One of my favorite things about old cars. 8 hours ago, Jesse J said: nothing like how old sqaurebodies come apart These old vehicles come apart so nicely.
89 MJ Posted June 18, 2021 Author Posted June 18, 2021 Ending out and new one mocked up. We can even reuse the original Jeep trans mount.
