fiatslug87
Not even close . The University of California motto is Fiat Lux (let there be light) I gratuated from the Santa Cruz campus in 1987 and their mascot is the banana slug so, Fiatslug87 was born (let there be slug 1987). Now the important info:

Now, that is interesting. I had to look up what a banana slug is. Ariolimax . A slug for a mascot? Now that takes a moment to get my head around. Thanks for the connector identification. Not to get into a pissing contest, but yes, you don't need the Headlight Relay Harness. LED's do cut back on current draw considerably. Now let's look at current flow without the relays. Battery, Fusible link, inside the Cab, Headlight Switch, Dimmer Switch, back to engine compartment, finally to the Headlights, then ground. About 20 feet worth of high current travel distance. So with the Headlight Relay, path is Battery, Fuse, Relays, Headlights, then ground. Not so many connectors and components and high current travel distance is now about 4 feet. Control of the Headlight Relays still needs to take the long way, but this low current stuff.

NEO auto
The first Cherokee I saw at the junkyard had the lights, but it was the wrong style of connector for my 1987 Comanche (The Cherokee was a 94 I believe). Maybe I could make them work?

Keyav8r
Yes, you could cut the connectors off the wiring and either wire them in directly or use commercially available insulated crimp-on connectors.
schardein
There is another upgrade besides LED bulbs for these courtesy lights. It is common to see #194 bulbs in these lights. They are small and are also used in the instrument cluster. An upgrade is to use #921 bulbs, which have the same base but are larger overall and put out more light. One of several places you can get them are from the under dash courtesy lights on Jeep WJs. The 921 works very well, even better than some cheaper LEDs I have tried. I took the entire wire harness and interior. I don't remember seeing any.

I'm not seeing exactly how this style is supposed to be mounted. NEVERMND, I have brackets for the wrong year.
