Drahcir495
All the XJ/MJ guys at work have switched over to the LED headlights and have nothing but great things to say about them. I already have the Delta headlights in the Jeep, but even with the upgraded wiring harness, they are nothing to brag about. Plus I can’t stand the company after they would not warranty their defective product - water proof (right) off-road lights. The reflectors rusted. I did a lot of research on Amazon to find a nice set of LED headlights by Partsam. They had the ones with the cree LED’s 2500lm low beam and 5600lm high for 45 bucks. I then added the 4 year extended warranty coverage. Ended up paying a little over $50 -> I knew I would be driving to Orlando in a couple weeks for the Florida pow wow, so I wanted to have them installed before the night drive back home. Here are pictures of the installation. Goodbye Delta and your horrible quality products -> Low beams before -> After -> High beams Before -> After -> Not sure if the pictures capture the difference?? I am so glad I got these - they are amazing. I was worried that it would blind on coming traffic but was never flashed once in two hour drive. Wonderful upgrade. Drahcir495
I was able to work on cleaning up the driver’s side seat this weekend. The seat is in really rough condition with the base being dingy and shredded. I have already cleaned up the passenger side seat and it looks amazing. Some time back I picked up a seat bottom out of a 4 door Cherokee, with matching interior, from the junk yard. The passenger side seat was in great great shape, so I took it home. From past experience, working on the Comanche, I knew that the bottom portion of the passenger side seat could be used on the driver’s side. It is important to get a newer year (mine was an 1994, I think) seat bottom as sometime they got rid of the seat belt holder contraption-> Later version -> I used a 1/2 inch ratcheting wrench to take off two nuts and four bolts to remove the seat from the base. Then two more bolts to get seat bottom off the frame -> The back of the seat cover, where the fabric folds over the frame is shorter than the original piece. I folded it over and used four screws in the factory punched holes to hold the stretched fabric to the seat support. It did not make that much of a difference being shorter -> Then I screwed on the latch plate and cut out the fabric with a razor blade -> I sprayed the seat down on the seat and let it sit for ten minutes while I got the pressure washer ready. Used the gentle tip and washed out the stains and 29 years of gawd knows what. Before pressure washing -> After -> First thing I noticed is that I had to adjust the rear view mirror. It sat me up a bit higher. The side bolster is really nice - keeps you sitting securely in position. Now it just has to dry

Drahcir495
Oh yeah I found what I have been looking a long time for the Cherokee! The junk yard LKQ was having an 40% off sale this weekend, so I went yesterday to check if they had anything that I needed. I could not believe that they had not one, but three 2 door Cherokee’s. They were all 1994 and all in white . I look through the first two and they were trashed. I had a friend with me, so we could get a late model front axle. Walking down another row at the back of the yard we see the front of another Cherokee sticking out. Got up to it and it was a third 2 door. I could not be happier to see it had the vent window in the large side window! I checked them out and both vent windows worked. They were tinted and I thought it was aftermarket tint. Turned out it was tinted glass - sweet. I am so glad I had help because they were a bear to get out -> I had posted a question for advice on if I should tint the windows or not. Everyone who commented said tint, so I planned on doing it already. Oh yeah, got them for $30 Pictures to come.

Mine really helped with that. Mine were factory tint on the sides windows and clear on the hatch. They were all done in 95% and it is almost to dark. But I sure like how it looks. buxmj
I was wondering the same about Florida, Jennifer has a '15 Nissan Rogue with factory tint, the rear door windows and rear hatch window are very dark, even the front doors are dark, I am still not used to it when I drive it at night. The problem with the Nissans is that the dash and top part of all the door panels are black, the dash radiates so much heat during the summer, definitely not designed with any southern states in mind. Drahcir495
All I know Buck is that it’s is hot in the Jeep. I will find out how dark I can go when I pick a tint company. I will let you know when I find out though.
Pete M
for rear windows you can spray paint them black if you wanted. The law doesn't care. it might vary state to state, but front window tints usually are fully banned past factory levels. But it's Florida. The sunshine state. I seriously doubt you'll even get a bat of the eye from a trooper. The biggest concern is how dark do YOU want it. going too dark can have nighttime visibility issues. Drahcir495
I have horrible night vision to start off with. I will be practical in choosing the darkness of the tint. If the tint is too much $, I am going to invest in a couple cans of white Krylon spray paint for the side and hatch windows in an attempt to get the panel truck look.
