It is a lot quieter to the point of I can now hear how bad the header leak/cracks are.

Had the day off, so I took a little time to run speaker wires and install the New JCR Off-road cubbie mate. I did not want to fill that spot up with an expensive sub box and otherwise that spot is useless. This at least gives the area some options. I really like JCR’s product designs but their powder coating is a little on the skimpy side. Only thing I did deferent is replace the screws with some stainless steel button head bolts and nuts. Looks pretty good. What am I going to put in there lol 46A5D911-C41D-48FF-B600-0A2BB2DD8B94.jpeg.33964803bb8e51bd82178b7a98eb849d.jpeg0CCBACED-7D2D-490C-9EFE-F796A41DF023.jpeg.c28ead1b984fe769a968d2c3d29a4dee.jpeg

My battery tray is falling apart so this is a good time to upgrade. I looked  for one that would be a better solution to hold down the battery, but there are not a lot of options that I could find? So, I am familiar with JCR Off-road and they had one available. I ordered one from Amazon and it arrived in 3 days. Here it is ->3191F38E-530B-4EDE-88B8-EA40D63494EE.jpeg.2ab2eddc65e9e0b104d7dca88d9aa6db.jpegI will have to post up pictures after I install it.

Thanks to nickintime’s YouTube episode, I saw his center console switch set up and wanted to copy it. I am also putting in a remote winch setup as he described in his video. First thing I did is buy a 3 switch mounting plate off Amazon for my two locker switches and the other for backup lights? I cut it the bottom of the coin slot and bolted down the plate with stainless steel button head bolts ->

I am putting in remote winch controls and need a spot for the two switches. Then, like I said, I saw nickintimefilm’s shifter cover plate with two rocker switches in it! I copied his placement and cut out the holes. I have the winch power switch and the in/out switch mounted in the holes. Came out nice ->

installed ->

I already have the winch, so I will post all of the installation details as I complete the upgrades.

Looks good.  That’s a decent Jeep for $270.00.  Ive been trying to find a blue 2door with the grey flares for some time like the one my late father had.  It’s nice to see they all don’t get cut up and beat to hell and people are bettering them.

Thank you 😊

i can't find the receipt for the tray but I believe it was $89 shipped from Quadratec. All the JCR products have gone up in price, so now it looks like they are $99.

It has rusted out spots in floor pan, but I can fix that. If I didn’t have all the parts lying around I would have passed on it. I am glad I didn’t. I would have taken any color but red lol. Most of them around here seem to be that color.

Sorry about your dad. Mine never owned a Jeep.

His was the lighter color blue that he special ordered.   It was pretty beat, but made it 300K when he traded it.

I have never seen another blue one with the grey fender flares/trim.   Mostly white, and a couple reds.

First I want to thank Fiatslug87 for selling me the Tuffy center console lock box :L:. I’ve wanted one for a long time now and they have been discontinued. It is in excellent condition. I had no instructions on what was needed to put the box in. I figured that the two ribs on the bottom of the arm rest would have to be removed,so I cut them off with a dremel cutoff disc. It then looked like it would lay flat against the top of the box. Here it is in its new home ->

plenty of room now for my dangerous toys 😉.

I was wondering why I kept getting this black dirt around the fuel door. Looking back I feel stupid for not knowing :dunce: .

It has obviously been bad for years. During My research. The consensus was to get the mopar brand. Went to the local Jeep dealership and for just under $18 I got a new one - part number 52100205 cap:Fuel Filter. It’s for the 1990 year Cherokee. The problem is fixed :applause:

Yeah same here.   I’ll have to scan a couple photos next time I’m at my mothers house.  I’m guessing it wasn’t a popular seller but who knows.

Finished two things today. First I got ice cold air in the Jeep  but cost a fortune. Everything that could be wrong was wrong :brickwall: Whent waayy over budget but did I say ice cold air! Never had a Jeep with air before and that is more than a few.

The next thing I did was put on the Comanche Club window banner :beerbang:. Ta-dah

I think it looks great on there even if it isn’t a Comanche :brows:

most people don't even know what a comanche is so I'm sure it'll look just fine to them  :D
