Recommendations on tires! (Been done 100 times I know)

Recommended Posts

Currently on my MJ I have some Wild Country all terrain (can't remember exact ones, 4 years old) in 235s on it,on the stock turbines. They only have about 26k miles on em but are almost to the wear line...

This is the 2nd set of Wild Counry tires I've had low mile wear issues with. Others were MTs and only got 12k miles out of (first set of the W.C. MTs I had I got 53k miles out of) so no more Wild Countrys.

My MJ has a rustys 4.5" lift on it. I'm keeping the turbines! Also with the Cummins, I don't want some soft, $#!&ty tires. The Cummins isnt thst much heavier than the 4.0, but still.

So,....need either 235s or "31s" All Terrains for my turbines.

Any suggestions?

Pics are of the MJ with the 235s on the turbines and then the 31s and ugly black rims off my XJ.fb7b981fb6cad1664e3d94998b4a7add.jpgf5f6372fd3270856adc7177888e2e0da.jpgabbd7162a6ca8901ace2e1e8c31ea5c4.jpgb491dee43d1a8f61af2117f5695760dc.jpg2509ef75bdbe5807c256d3d521e916ee.jpg

Got mine on a Discount Tire Labor Day sale, size 265/75R15. Equivalent to a 31" tire, .8" narrower.  Total cost after discounts came out to $87.50 each shipped to my door.

I tried ordering them for my dodge months ago, they took my money then said they were discontinued and I had to fight to get my money back. They kept wanting to try to get me to get some other $#!&ty tires instead.
I'll most likely go to the same tire shop I have for the past 10 years. But I'll look into coopers

I highly recommend BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2s.
I don't like the looks of them and nobody I know has any luck with them....

I like the cooper at3s but all the shops said they were discontinued and I doubt I buy offline...
The coopers replacing the at3s are way more expensive.

I got sumitomo all terrains for my dodge. They're out of the question lol.

I have had the AT3s  on our XJ, good tire, wears extremely well.

See Hankook Dynapro ATm, that's what we have now and we're happy, IIRC it was about $630 mounted and balanced.

coopers at3's Nuff said. That being said, cooper has added the AT3XL and AT3XLT lines as they phase out the original AT3. i would look at the XLT if you tend to take it offroad a bit more. more aggressive sidewall and enhanced rubber compound.

No offroad at all just rain and snow.

you might look at the AT3 4s then. They designed it to somewhat compete with the ATW, but still have the tread wear warranty. more sipping and lateral grooves.
