HOrnbrod Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Damn John, what an unbelievable moron, and I'm glad the thief was/is 'cause his stupidity enabled you to get your MJ back. . Kudos to your son too. But not to the cops. That crap wouldn't happen here. But why the black tailgate? Maybe the fool thought that w/o the topper and a black tailgate the cops wouldn't make the connection to a stolen vehicle?
Motorhead X Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Great news. That situation with the police though...
DirtyComanche Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 I'll save the Pirate4x4 style response that I want to type and instead just say I'm glad you got the truck back.
Strokermjcomanche Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Good to hear the truck was located , but a real bummer about the topper . Time to start looking for it on Craigslist etc ...,

Still happy for you to have the truck back. Big time boo to the cops though. Yes, you are right. Thief could have had handgun. Son spent 10 years, Army Special Ops. Two combat tours. Sometimes training just kicks in.
Pete M Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I'm sure a lot of us have offhandedly said we'd stab any dope that touched our trucks, he just got more of an opportunity than most.
shrapneltyphoon Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Well at least you got it back. And people think I'm paranoid installing a GPS into a over 20 year old truck.

huck731 Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Glad to see the truck was recovered. I always wanted to do a tdi conversion on one adn actually talked to HPA motorsports when they launched the wrangler and where developing the XJ kits. this was even before they split that devision off to become coty built.

I figured something is better than nothing. It's actually a USB charger with a GPS built in lol. I got it when I bought a dash cam for the xj.
