Anyone running these ORS winch bumper with wings? I've emailed the contact twice on the site, but to ZERO reply...kinda suspicions...I couldn't find much here on them, so thought I'd ask.

i really like the bumpers, but don't want to send my money off and never get one :(

Any good/bad experiences with them recently? I found some old posts, but nothing recent.

Thanks.

He advertised BF deals and such over at NAXJA. So, I'm certain he is up and running.

I bought one of his stubby recovery bumpers. I have not seen "wings" for them, but it would appear that the current gen of his bumpers are based on the stubby or vice versa. Would be nice to have a "wing option" , but I will more than likely have some tube bent up and welded to the stubby at some point.

One thing I do appreciate about Max's bumper setups is that they come with the frame tie in's. And are actually built to run with front front stiffeners. He even has his own version of front stiffie/bumper tie in's.

If I could afford his full length bumper, I would have bought it instead of the stubby. But, sometimes that is how it goes.

Max (aka Dirt Bound) builds some sweet stuff. I think he is up and running again after his move from SoCal to the Mid West.

Thanks guys! Yeah, sucks that the ORS aren't around anymore, or I have to believe that they are not because they don't reply to emails...have yet to call them, but hesitant to purchase something for $$ if their customer service isn't great....

How do I get in touch with Max (aka dirt bound)?

Who else makes great stubby winch bumpers...? I don't want crap...

Thanks!!

Does Max's stubby bumper mount a winch under the radiator like ORS's, or does it just stick way out like most standard winch bumpers?

*Edit: Never mind... I found a picture over on NAXJA... It sticks out.  I want one that is recessed and tucks the winch under the radiator, like ORS's.

Yeah, I don't care for the 'tv tray' look bumper stickin' waaaaay out like that...darn, the search continues.

I really wanted the ORS when he first started selling them. He had a great thread going on pirate with several happy customers. Then....he just vanished.

I wanted the bumper to act as a hidden winch mount. My plan was to mount the stock bumper in front of the ORS. I actually talked to the owner in 2012 (or 2013) about my plan and he thought it would work well if I ordered without the D ring mounts. When I was ready to order communication stopped.

I too hate the 'TV tray' look most XJ/MJ winch bumpers have. I think Rustys now has a bumper that puts the winch under the radiator.

just curious why would you want a bumper that provides ZERO protection to your header panel and components?

87Warrior summed up my idea in his post.  This was my exact plans:  Sleeper winch bumper.

I'll probably build one similar.  The flush look is great, but I agree there's a bit more protection due for the header panel, headlights, etc.  I wonder if a brush guard like mikekaz1's could be implemented...

Maybe contact him to see if he can do a hybrid or custom bumper.
