Wiggilez
So last night I was DDing for a friend. we got to the house party small one with like 5 people, we get there leave like 4.5 to 5 hour later I go to start my truck and it says the gauge is empty, so I step out and noticed a huge puddle under my truck, anyway some deadbeat low-life drilled a hole in my tank, they didn't even take the gas, they just let it all spill on the ground all 70L of a freshly filled tank > :(
AeroNautical
Really? Do it just to do it? Why? I had a similiar experience a little while ago. It happened in my driveway. Someone attempted to remove my JKS sway bar disconnects, pulled the pins and unscrewed one side before, I'm guessing, being scared off. Also kicked in my passenger side fender to the point where the flare broke free, ripped my passenger side rain gutter off and threw it in the yard. The next few weeks after that I checked my brake lines, tires and gas cap before every drive. I think if I had caught him coming back, I'd of shot him. Wiggilez
I'm gonna try to patch the tank tomorrow, and to PFCLleist that's probably a good idea of checking those too.

Knucklehead97
Some kids once ripped the windshield wiper bars off of my moms Jeep. Just because they didn't like me. That two weeks of waiting for the bars to come in the mail sucked... especially since it was during rain season. Some people don't have anything better to do than make others lives hell. I recommend Quik Steel for patching the gas tank if you need an easy solution. I used it to repair a gas line last year and its still holding up with no leaks at all. I keep a tube of it in my truck now, comes in super handy :D
shelbyluvv
They probably took what gas they could and let the rest go. I bet you're right. I've had it happen to me a few years ago and I also had a cat cut out from under my XJ in a Walmart parking lot. Thieves are the lowest life form on this planet. big66440
My best friends cat was stolen from his Tacoma years ago, he had parked directly behind our house. I agree with being able to shoot the living piss out of someone trying to mess with your property especially IN your property but no,,,,, legally you can't even touch them anymore   :shake: ,and it's not like {most} police give a rats @$$ about your stuff anyway when they finally show up to take the "report". Knucklehead97
Walmart has it in the Auto section for a buck or so cheaper than any auto store I've seen it. Sometimes half the price actually
Minuit
If it ends up you can't patch it, gas tanks (both 18 and 23.5 gal flavors) are one of the few MJ parts you can still buy new.

This was actually on my DD, and finding a tank for that shouldn't be that bad either.
