Since my carpet is ruined now & I will remove my seats to get the rest of the carpet up. It was heavily staiined anyway             .....I'm considering leaving bare floor but its a bit on the Ugly side  even sprayed with the bedliner mat stuff. -  Are there any places that sell  a vinal floor in place of carpet  for comanches? even if its a cherokee flooring & I could just cut the back half off for the right length.

Bedliner is your best friend just know that you won't be able to drive till it cures if you do it yourself..made that mistake in my tj before it broke the axle

I had bed liner the floor for a few months then it was getting too hot to touch during summer days in miami...

Then bought the vinyl carpet from rock auto...

Not only did it eliminate road noise it also eliminated heat...

if you get the vinyl carper don't try to install it in January  .

you will need to make some cuts in it, any notches you need make use a round punch about 1/4" on dia and heat it up hot enough to pierce holes in the corners, these round holes will keep the corners from tearing

My floor is rolled with bedliner. No regrets

So it just paints on like a thick paint?   Floors arent too pretty.   Sheet metal, framework, screw heads etc        .....was hoping for something that would hide the bare floor.   But I will consider this considering Rockauto wants over 100.00 for just a vinal floor.

You can buy new carpet (that actually does fit the MJ's floor!) from stockinteriors.com if you want new carpet - it does need the holes for the seat mounts, etc cut in it but it apparently fits well.

Anyone other than 88whitemanche have issues with heat with just a bedliner floor?  I'm planning on doing the same but don't want to roast.  I bed-lined my TJ floor with no heat issues (it gets warm/hot to the touch, but no noticeable issues in the cab), but don't know if there's something about the Comanche that would cause an issue.

after pulling out the stock vinyl floor cover and the soaking wet stock felt sound/heat insulation I vowed to never put that felt crap in again. I use closed cell foam pads under the new liner. it dose help a lot with the road noise but not so good with heat. I wheel my truck but typically will not take it out if its going to be in the upper 80's. rolling slow thru the woods I think I could bake bread in the cab.

I've used lizard skin spray on sound deadener on my floor with carpet on top . It helps with reducing road noise and is also a water barrier . I went as far as to not use any mass backing on the carpet because it retains water and has the potential to rust out the floors . Lizard skin also makes a ceramic coating that reduces interior temps up to 30 degrees .
