I recently mounted my hi lift jack (today 2/8/2014) with 2 L brackets bolted into the bed, just curious as to how everyone else has mounted em, maybe some new ideas for the future,

When i get the fundage I'm caseing mine and mounting it to my roll bar

i've seen that before on here, sweet look and idea,

That way one bar has my jack and the other is going to have a fire extinguisher

have not seen that though, that's a good idea, i normally see jacks on one side and a shovel on the other,

I'm doing shovel on the side of the bed and ax on the other

I mounted my hi-lift and an Axe to my roll bar.

I'm not a fan of roof racks.... but that's sweet! How are you attaching it?

Its out of the way, no real loss of bed space.

that's how i plan to mount mine when i eventually get one.  also a full sized shovel will fit in the same manner

is that a 40mm ammo can? what do you store in it.  I was planning to get a couple .50 cal and .30 cal ammo cans for dry and tool storage.

this location is probably of no real help to anyone, I just like to participate

I bolted it to the rollbar up under the spare.  not exactly easy to get to, but it's not something I use a lot so I don't mind.

here's a wider shot showing what you're looking at in the first:
