jimoshel Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Pulled a transmission, AX15 from a '90 MJ without hurting myself. Look Ma.. No blood, or bumps.
AeroNautical Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 The Jeep God was nice to you that day. Sooo... hows about that cross member?
neohic Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 You know, Jim... I was just thinking the other day that we you haven't had any "hurt myself" threads in a while. Nice to see you dodged the bullet!... but tomorrow's another day, right? :D
Comanche County Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Now lets see you do it twice in a row... :D
yellaheep Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 He's not kidding...... He escaped unharmed! He pulled that trans for me and had a narrow good weather window in which to do so while I was making the 2 hr commute to his place. I'm still trying to figure out how he removed it like that when the bellhousing bolt are INSIDE the bellhousing.......... :D BTW, thanks for the parts truck and transmission Jim!
MrSimon Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 The look on your face is priceless!! Go get yourself a stake dinner .... you earned it!

64 Cheyenne Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Really...! That's what he did to get it out? Really?
jimoshel Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 Not really. Removed the bolts holding the bell housing to the engine and pulled the whole thing out. Then removed the bell housing. Didn't think to take a pic until I had already separated them.Although I do keep a selection of hammers handy, as well as a cutting torch and a sawzall.
