88whitemanche
Nice...so you plan on putting any hoops on that bumper? Like a prerunner?
reson46
Pictures! :clapping: Nice improvement on your welds. The bumper looks great. I'm glad they included the inner steering box spacer too. Willy
Ronbo
I do plan on putting a hoop on the bumper to protect the grill some. My buddy Willy has the tube bender so it won't be until I can get to his house to get them built. Ron I worked on getting the winch in this morning which wasn't too hard. The directions from Warn had a little bit to be desired but so did the install directions from JCR on the new bumper. New fairlead I have the control box on the winch for the time being but I plan on putting it under the hood and running control switches inside the cab of the truck. Here it all installed except the wiring is not zip tied in place that's why you can see it in the engine bay This will be the next part of my build. I have an older under dash unit but I could not find a place I wanted to put it, lack of room in the cab. I chose this unit as all the controls are in the handset and the mounting box is very small. I can tuck it away under a seat or on the side of the center console. For $12 dollars I also got a lifetime warranty so I shouldn't ever have to buy another one. I will still try to take some photos of the brackets for the bumper and when I install the CB I will try and photograph that as well. Ron
zackcj7
I hope you have better luck with the 75 WX ST than I did. That plastic mic hanger does not like the bouncing of an offroad rig. Mine snapped off. Plus my cord's insulation is crumbling away.
Ronbo
I hope so too. I have heard mixed reviews on this CB but it fits my needs so I thought I would give it a try. I also have the warranty so if something breaks back it will go. Ron

Ronbo
Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you like the truck. Willy and I took the truck to a local wheeling spot to test it on the trails this evening. The truck did awesome with only a couple of little things to tweak. Here are some pictures of the truck posed on a rock pile so I could check the suspension and the bumpstops. This picture shows how the front tire is stuffed into the wheel well. The bumpstop is about a 1/2 inch from making contact. This picture shows the rear tire stuffed in the wheel well. The rear bumpstop is bottomed out but the tire is not hitting the wheel well. The rear shock is about 1 inch from being bottomed out so the bumpstops are the correct length. Here are a few more Willy took a few more with his camera, he will either send them to me or add them to the post. As I said the truck did great and I am happy to finally have it ready for the trails. Ron

shelbyluvv
I was worried about you cutting up rare green 92 truck at first. After seeing your work and the trucks' current state I am impressed. You have done a hell of a job on i!
Ronbo
ComancheKid, thanks I've work hard trying to get it ready in time. There are some things left to do but I can start wheeling it now. Ron ShelbyLuvv, Thanks, I tried to do it right. I still want to get the truck painted and all of the tube work will get powder coat when I get the roll cage completed. I'm still looking for some fold forward seat mounts and then I want to either have the seats redone in leather or buy some good quality aftermarket seats. The list goes on and on but that's the fun. Alicia
You going to keep it the same color and decals?
Ronbo
Alicia, I will keep it the same color but the decals have to go. Sorry but I am not a fan of the 1980/90 theme graphics. I think I will stay with one color except Black for the letters on the tailgate and maybe a Comanche sticker to replace the badging but that's not for sure yet. 88whitemanche
Did you change the inner seal when you installed those shafts? Or are they from that specific year? Or a swapped axle?
Ronbo
Whitemanche, The axel was just totally rebuilt when I installed the locker and changed the gearing. These axles are brand new and fit just as the old one did so there was no reason to redo the seals again. The new axles are just made out of a better material not any bigger. 88whitemanche
Ok awesome...I have a set of one piece axle shafts that I got in a trade but haven't gotten around installing them...I've been meaning to buy a front locker but funds really haven't been there... Looks good though. Keep up the great work
