Don't believe this. I've seen 6-8 months go by without a MJ ad in the local Craigs List. Today there were two posted within 4 hours of each other. I went to look at the first one, liked what I saw and made a ridiculous low offer on it. He accepted. This has to be the cleanest original MJ in the country. Got home and checked CL and there's a second one for sale, a 1989. Called the guy and going out tomorrow and get it. I mean look at it. I'll post pics as soon as I get a new camera. Busted the old one.

you've updated your will, yes?

You were trying to be funny, but trouble is, that's something I really been thinking about. GF first husband owned a garage, salvage yard in OK when he was killed in a plane crash. Wierd thing there. His name was Jim same as mine, and he owned and was killed in same type plane as mine. Stearman PT-17. Anyway she just brought in a crusher and had the yard cleared, Junk, classics, collectables, everything and she's pretty well made it known as soon as I'm cold she's gonna do the same thing here. Been trying to figure the best way to prevent that. Thinking about talking to a lawyer but i hate the maggots so bad I don't even want to be in the same room with one, for whatever reason. Oh well Que sera sera. :dunno:

4.0L, 4speed, 4WD

The 4.0L never came with a 4 speed manual, Unless you meant 4 speed automatic.

Don't know about the badges. Think I've seen a XJ with them on the front fender but not sure. Paint is original. He washed an waxed it for the sale. Second owner. Been garaged all it's life.

The 4x4 emblems were never put on the front fenders on any Cherokee or Comanche from the factory. On a 1989 Comanche the 4x4 emblems would have originally been behind the doors and under the cab vents.

Regarding the will, there are estate packets containing wills, living trusts, and powers of attorney that can be completed and filed by individuals and unless it's very complicated, you really don't need an attorney. If you had to, you can pay a lawyer for an hour to review your packet before filing.

In California, most estates automatically go to Probate Court unless there is a Living Trust and Probate charges the estate for all court fees and the assigned probate attorney. Probate ties up all assets for several months while going through the mandatory hearings until the estate is settled.

Please don't allow the destruction of your collection. It will be difficult enough to mourn the loss of a beloved member, let alone the loss of so many Comanches.

Nice find Jim. Is that a hole over the slider window? looks like it had a cargo light. If it is, you might want to fill/cover that hole some how.

Maybe he removed the cargo light from the pictures so as not to get harassed by certain members on this forum :D
