JeepcoMJ Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Looking at 3 opts. right now. 1. Cut the rust out of the sides and have LARGE wheel openings  2. Find another box. 3. Build a flat bed. Charles 4. do what 89eliminator did and chop the wheel openings out of a 2 door cherokee. they aren't the same in height, but are the same in length...use the upper half as it should be an EXACT replacement of your bad spots. your flairs aren't too bad, it's just the top...well, except maybe the right side looks like it's pulled outwards pretty good in one pic. save the bed. flatbed just won't look right for your application i think...
CEThomas Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 Time for a update. Engine bay has a new coat of paint. Hood has a new coat on the under side. Trans and T-case ready to bolt together. Engine ready for trans. Front diff has a new coat of paint.

CEThomas Posted July 7, 2007 Author Posted July 7, 2007 Well we have a coat of paint on it. Could look better but not bad at 20'. Should have spent more on the paint gun I got and worked with some priot to paint the MJ  The kid is happy with it :D We are going to put the Comanche Club graphice in the front window in the morning.

CEThomas Posted July 7, 2007 Author Posted July 7, 2007 is that 6" lift with 235/75s? i ask cause I'm gonna have enough money for the lift soon... but nowhere near enough for some tires Right now the front is at 4.5", have to gat 2" spacers yet. The tires are my old ones off the Ranger and they are 265/75/15" whick work out to be something like 28" - 29" tires.
CEThomas Posted July 7, 2007 Author Posted July 7, 2007 The bed was toast so we are building a flat bed with roll bar for it and it will be black.
CEThomas Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Well after being put on hold for a few months till the wife got back to work. We have been able to start back to working on the MJ :D Over the weekend we made a trip to pick up the 4 33" tires we got off Lead-not-follow and a bed and other goods from Limeyjeeper in Chicago :D On the way out of Chicago until it got dark, it was funny how everyone was looking at us when they passed us  This is the only side that needs any work. The other side is like new :D We hope to have it ready to paint by next Monday

CEThomas Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 $ tires are for my XJ and the 6-35" tires will be for the MJ, unless we trade them foe a winch or other things we need for it ;) Got the bumper, just having some plates cut to mount it.
