dunl Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Just got off the phone with him. $500. One question...did you buy it yet?
Automan2164 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I mean, besides the bodywork, its just a 2wd MJ... It will take a ton of work, or I could do the same amount of work to one of the 3 MJ's I already have, and end up with a less-trouble, less-rolled product... I will keep at it for the sake of the group though. I would love to be able to pick this up for Pete... It would be a great CC.com truck... I just don't have the cash/space. But I am sure we would all chip into save a cool MJ. Rob L.
Automan2164 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Got the pics. Alright guys. Not going to happen. At least in my eyes. Sorry fellas. Sit down, grab some tissues to catch the tears, and a bucket for the vomit. Past the point of no return. Are you sitting down? Ready for this? Speechless. Sorry guys. This one is done. Rob L.
MjAllTheWay Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 That is way worse than i thought it was wow thats all i can say
Automan2164 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 What's it got driveline-wise though? Just sent a reply email to that abortion of pictures asking the details... Rob L.
500 MJ Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 But it still has a good Chrome 10 slot grille... :grrrr: I'd still like to get some parts off of it...
Pete M Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 well alllllrighty then. that sucks. :( Back to someone stopping by with a sawsall and snagging me the entire drivers side of the truck. any volunteers? I'd love to at least preserve the paint for posterity (and an awesome wall decor).
mfpdm Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I still say it will buff out. I could be saved if someone had the time and desire to do it.
Automan2164 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Or someone could just take the time and effort to re-create it with a good MJ... I will be keeping the pics for reference. Rob L. ;)
Automan2164 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Ouch. Thanks Rob for the pics and info. :( No prob. Like I said, whatever more I find out, I will keep you guys posted. Rob L.
WahooSteeler Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 $500 buys you a nice set of wheels and tires, a nice front end w/cool fenders and various other parts. :dunno:
Squeegy410 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 yeah thats toast man :( but i don't guess the wide body look is copyrighted :D we may not be able to rebuild it, but we can make another one
JeepcoMJ Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 I had assumed that it was $500 w/o the tires, considering that the tires are for sale. That said, I don't want the rims/tires...wonder what he wants w/o those...

Unglar Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I'm with Pete, cut the drivers side off so he can mount it!
dunl Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 So are those flares/fenders off of something else, or completely 100% fabrication?
Squeegy410 Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 and could you buy just the flares of him? cuz theyre still salvagable
WahooSteeler Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 So are those flares/fenders off of something else, or completely 100% fabrication? aftermarket, i.e. you can buy them. :brows:
jpnjim Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Fronts were aftermarket, rears were metal, and hand made by the (old) owner. They do sell fiberglass bedsides similar to that tho.
xjrev10 Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 his wipers were on when he crashed  probably bumped the switch in the rollover
Automan2164 Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 http://www.hannemannfiberglass.com/cust ... 7&page=115 For those who didn't know these were available. Rob L.
