jpnjim
I had a heated garage with my first apartment, then stupidly bought a house without one. I'm now on year 16 without a garage. :wall: I just went through this thread, and realized I didn't post any rear bumper pics. Like EVERYTHING else done to this Jeep, I got it to about 90%, then had more important things come up. :ack: Mostly just have to wire the winch, weld on the bumper ends, and add a brace underneath. Started here: chop chop plus rest of bumper build thread here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18919
Mudtruck87
Now that is dedication! Great looking truck! Love the rear bumper idea. Look forward to seeing what else you come up with. an MJ to be proud of!
comancheap
Make any progress on this? Got any more pics of it on the 255s? I assume you used spacers with the niner wheels?
jpnjim
Thanks Mudtruck87! (a little late I know ;) ) comancheap, I'll see if I can dig out some better pics of the tires, no spacers were used, tho they'd probably be a good idea on the rear (rear axle is ~1.5" narrower than stock). I'd snap new pics, but the truck is jammed in the tarp-garage, next to the javelin right now, not much room to work on it, or snap pictures. No real updates worth mentioning, I'm about 1/2 way through a pile of other work to do before I can get back to the toy. :(

jpnjim
Still slowly still picking away at this project. Now that I have an actual garage to work in :) got the rear bumper mostly done: lol, its a 9 year build now :) figured I'd update the title (from 6 to 9 years) Maybe I'll get it back on the road for it's 10 year anniversary. :D

Ive been going around updating my dads posts, I'm the little one you see in the pictures. sadly the truck did not get back on the road, the project fell to the side for the past few years. i just bought an xj and plan to wheel it once getting it settled as a daily hopefully I can help inspire the truck back onto the trails soon. hopefully we can get it on the road for its 20th anniversary. jpnjake
Got a couple pictures of the 3 mj’s together, this project is still alive, just taking a little break. Currently it’s back on 37’s and it’s a yard wheeling truck.

jpnjake
My Dad and I finally got some progress today, just pulled it in the garage and got some little things finished, wires zip tied up, and put on matching Q-78 tires on it all around. 9 year build… more like 9 year oil change… Hoping to get it finally out of its hibernation and out on some trails this summer. This little guy showed up at the end of the day and we hurried the truck out of the garage soon after… He was upset we moved his childhood home, Traps are now set up in the garage and soon the Jeep, even sniper Jake with the pellet gun was on the lookout after seeing that guy. WranglerMangler
It’s amazing how fast 10 even 20 years can go. I have an MJ build that is going on close to 10 years now unfortunately. Hate to admit it. It’s an awesome Jeep that I would love to see done almost more than anything. But life gets in the way. I definitely get it. Keep plugging away at it. Will be that much more glorious when you do get it going. 👍
