Played in the snow we got the other night, drifts up too 5-6'. Somehow managed to finish off my passenger side motor mount. Trucks out of order, but had fun in the process. I am glad I could see into the cowl on the back of my hood or I may not have caught it until it was too late.

yseterday was my first real first plowing of this winter......lets see....

first, i got in my truck and drove about 2 miles at 5am, and my thermostat was on the red...and no heat

i took it home and used my white truck to go pick up my worker.

i loosened my thermostat cover to see if it was bad and the heat started working, so i tightened it back up, filled with fluid, and went off for my day of plowing.

before anyone answers that i was driving with the plow up so no air was getting to the motor stop right there.....give me a little credit!!!!!

i plowed like 5 hours and then all of a sudden.....yep, no heat and temp very high

brought it to my mechanic just to work on it myself in his garage....in case i couldnt fix it i could just of left it there.

he was all like, its your head gasket or water pump.

he replaced my water pump and radiator in the summer, brand new

well after it cooled down, i removed the thermostat and it was stuck open from the heat, but there was no fluids in the motor, (behind the thermostat)

so i put cold water over the thermo to close it and put it back on.

added fluid, then nothing

after adding fluid and feeling hoses to see if they have anything in them for like 1/2 hour...the heat kicked on and everything went back to normal.

no idea, i am going to post this in the question forum also.

on my way home, i noticed that one plow light was out.....sucks bad

THEN>>>>>>> i go to put up my window, drivers side, and it shattered.....good thing for the tint to kind of hold it together, inside the door.

back to plowing.

by this time its dark and I'm beat and pi$$3d

i get home and notice that not one person in my development had their driveways powed......expect me to do it for free....its ok cuz they are all ancient and bring me cakes and great foor all year.....so i plowed them, pulled my poor truck in the garage and went to bed.

CRAPPY DAY!!!!!  :fs1:  :headpop:

I was going to work on my valve cover gasket , but the weather decided to snow about three feet and and stayed about -8 for

a week and a half.

Next I was driving through downtown , when all of a sudden ,,,, my lightly worn front tires broke free on what seemed like a

professional skating ring dusted w/ fresh powder and instantly zeroing in on the biggest curb it could find.

Presto "!!! soapbox.gif :wall: soapbox.gif :wall: soapbox.gif :wall:

So !!! I had to pony up the cash and put a new set of BF AT's and wheels . Suspension is next on the list .

wow tat sounds like fun. we got or 4wd s10 stck on a curb. just because of a no grip situation . a little throttle action and we got out though

Not to rub it in, but I'm quite impressed with this one...when the storm 1st hit on Sunday, I was the lone vehicle hauling @$$ over a twisty mountain pass at night (near Lassen, Ca) through a blizzard on an unplowed road of about 8" snow with underlying ice...I got to the other side of this 30 or so mile warzone where I made the quick descent to dry pavement again, and when I went to click it back into 2wd, I realized I NEVER WAS IN 4wd!!! My manche gobbled up that snow and stuck itself so well, it never slipped, slid or lost traction in 2wd  (just FYI, those were with my studded 31x10.5 R15 General Grabber AT2's jamminz.gif ) Ok, I'll admit I did have about 700 lbs I figure in/on the back with the camper shell, tools, dirtbike & trailer hitch dirtbike rack, supplies and gear, but I'm still impressed. Of course, the weather looks like It'll be crappy the whole 1,000 mile trip back home from Washington this weekend, so I suppose I gotta cross my fingers and hope it does as well then  :ack:

Over 1,000 miles into the trip right now, and the Manche is doing great, not a single hiccup or slight sign of issues so far...keep it up little truck :D jamminz.gif (except my gas mileage SUCKS, about 14.5 average and 15.5 at best; but I guess hauling that much weight, its to be expected...or maybe I'm calculating it wrong, I'm figuing about 10% difference with the 31" tires on the otherwise stock drivetrain :dunno: )

Had to drive it Wednesday after they put chemical on the roads! So Thursday (Yesterday) when it was only 28 out, I took it to the car was and washed undercarriage and outside off, parked it with each side facing the sun for about 1/2 hour to get the sun to melt the ice that formed, and went out of my office to wipe each side off.

Time to semi park it for the winter
