  1. Made a lot of progress this week. I had my son here which really helped. Pulled motor and did the final drivetrain build. Novak 375-3 bellhousing adapter. Allows the use of a Jeep AX15 bellhousing Trans and Transfer Case bolted up Novak engine mounts. I moved them back for the final install they have 3 positions. They work really well. Final accessory configuration Engine, Trans and Transfer case final install. Novak Engine mount Novak Trans mount Also managed to install a 54 x 60 Yakima cargo rack. Not cheap but very high quality and tons of flexibility for hanging on additional items such as gas cans, Spare tires, shovels etc. Harnesses all tested and ready to go in. Need to still hook up transfer case linkage, get driveshafts built. Bleed brakes, Get exhaust done, finish interior. Then it will be time to fire her up.!! We are getting there.......
  2. Yea didn't see that. Probably not. It is pretty heavy. It would cost a lot to ship and I don't really want to deal with the customs stuff
  3. If you need a 242 rebuild kit. I have a spare one I got from Novak. Great quality includes a chain. Happy to let it go for $100 plus shipping.
  4. You can key the 91's the same I just did it for mine.
  5. But it is by far the most rewarding project I have ever attempted.!!
  6. You won't get much change out of $6 - $8k if you do it right. I am building one right now. Novak Conversions are a great resource for V8 swaps. Long block $3k Trans adapter $400 Valve covers $200 Engine mounts $400 Headers $500 Radiator $400 LS1 intake $300 Alternator $300 PS pump $200 Accessory drive relocate $500 Harness and PCM $1,000 Water pump $200 Hoses $300 Etc, etc ,etc The small stuff will nickel and dime you to death. You can get a high mileage LS from the junkyard but you will always have to deal with failing components. You might get lucky and save yourself a few grand. If you want to build a long term reliable power plant thst fits under the hood of an MJ it isnt cheap. But neither is a stroker and an LS will give you much more power and flexibility. Having gone through this I have huge admiration for the GM engine designers they built an incredibly versatile platform.
  7. Apologies. didn't catch that. Thanks
  8. Gotta love the 91's. Great build. I am planning on doing exactly what you did with the double DIN. Using an android unit which is much shorter it should go in. Any particular reason you moved the controls to the top instead of moving the controls and vent down a bit, which is what I planned to do?
  9. The instructions say to drill 6 holes on the body and pull the frame in. It looks like if I do that it should lay down pretty well. The frame seems to have a bit of flex in it. I won't actually be installing it for a while.
  10. If it is truly rust free then keep it. Very rare to find one that old with zero rust. 2 door Jeep Xj's are cool.
  11. How much work to get the Notch M-Max flares to fit? did you have to do a lot of sanding and rework?
  12. Got the windows in over the weekend along with the electric window regulators. Used kit JE-01K from Electric Life. Wouldn't recommend them. Regulators are ok but it took two attempts to get the kit. First one had one jeep regulator and one for a Chevy S10. Even the second on had two different designs. They are nice and fast. Also installed a Ford Ranger Cargo and Brake light using an antenna mount from BulletProof Deisel. Not cheap but a very high quality piece. Also allows me to mount my CB antenna. It allows you to fit an F150 cargo 3rd Brake light. I used a smoked LED from Recon access Part No 264129BK Wiring harness is almost complete Got a set of cables for the winch from BestBoatWire.com. Great prices. high quality product. Used them for the winch on my LJ. PCM and Cruise Control Servo are installed. The green wire is an additional circuit for the temp gauge. I am using the GM 3 pin ECT which also provides a gauge output. Makes things easier. Just need to do the plug for the servo controller Also managed to install the fluid reservoir in the fender and run the hose and pump and low fluid wiring. Also converted the console from an auto to a 5 Speed and added a boot from Redline. Picked up a set of JK wheels for $140 for 5. Got my local powder coater to play with one. I think it looks pretty good. Satin graphite and satin black. Finally I got hold of a CR Laurence rear window. I really like it. Lower profile than stock. My OEM is missing the latch which I know are almost impossible to find. Fit looks decent. My son is visiting in a couple of weeks for a week, so we should be able to get engine, trans, transfer case, Dash, heater box finally installed. Going to try to get the jeep close to starting. Still lots to do. Just not enough hours in the day. Wanna try and be finished before the All Breeds Show in July........
  13. If I get Comanche Dawn finished I will definitely be there.
  14. Bonjour votre camionnette est super. (Hope I got that right my French is very rusty!!)
  15. The 746 is perfect. If the vendor doesnt contact you I will take them off your hands.
  16. They are great injectors. However 26lb injectors are not ideal for a stock 4.0. Depending on what rail pressure they are rated at and what year your Jeep is. They could be way too big. I wouldn't even use them in a 4.7l stroker!!! The PCM will struggle to trim the fuel flow to not run really rich.
  17. I completely agree on the lifters. Done 3 Strokers. Lifters crapped out on two of them and I think my ATK also is showing the same symptoms. Total crap.
  18. Great build. Walker do a great job with the Comanche exhaust. And that R32 epic vehicle to drive!!
  19. Love the buld. Wish I could get mine done as fast. Just not enough hours in the day!!
  20. It is a well make solid piece. The steering gear support bearing is a nice extra feature. Tightens up the complete front end of the chassis.
  21. Message me and I will give you the info
