Check your steering knuckles, I'll bet you will find indentions where your brake pads rest. The pad will embed itself over time, once the indention is make the pad will not reset or relax and will rub the rotor causing that swoooshing sound.good. would like to know more about the wooshing sound.

thanks for the reply. its the back shock. the upper bolt. rather than bang and twist i would like to know for sure.

the kiss principal . this works for me, when all else fails.

does the upper rear stud for the shock mount unscrew? or is it a press in fit? thanks dave
