  1. have you pulled the axleshafts?
  2. let's get this clear Greenf350... there is ZERO junk in your back yard. what i see is THE CAR for my brother. he'd absolutely love it.
  3. when the $#!& hits the fan, do you really want to be the guy who asked themself that?
  4. lol. yep. i need to get some spider gears for a dana 30, and dana 44 spare axleshafts too...
  5. two full sets of axleshafts with new ujoints, both sets with good hubs attached (with junk bolts used to hammer old hubs out) tools to fix any part on the truck, full fluids, full set of spare sensors and a spare throttle body, jack, water pump and gaskets, t-stats and gaskets (ranging in temp.) spare serpentine, spare motor mounts, spare front driveshaft (and getting a backup slip-shaft built...no cardan as it's intended to get me home in the worst case scenario). full size spare tire, and spare lug nuts. also carry an assortment of spare nuts/bolts just in case. unfortunately though, i haven't made any trail runs yet...  because the truck hasn't been ready. i'm planning on having a spare ECU and TCU and light bulbs.
  6. you could always sell it to me :P
  7. congrats, and I agree. lucky enough to have one MJ with as little rust as that one, and another MJ that has acquired a bit more than that (in repair stages...) no rust in face keeps a man happy.
  8. hehehaha..ahoohoohoo mud? my bro's and my old beater MJ (project tatersalad...rest in piece) 3800 the one and only time she saw mud... my bro's 88 mj can't wait to get the 87 muddy!
  9. cool. lose the tow hook mounted to the frontbumper...tow hooks need to be bolted on with heavy duty (grade 8 or better/equivelant) bolts. welding is not considered strong enough, and there's nothing worse than seeing the welds brake and the hook go flying and injuring someone
  10. if the old gauge cluster's back looks the same as the "new" one's back, you can just swap the speedo gauge. unscrew the front fascia from the cluster, unscrew two screws from the back directly behind the speedo gauge, and i think one screw in under the front fascia. swap them out, and call it a day. if they're not the same in back, then unfortunately you're SOL until you replace the speedo cable, as the cable connectors vary between them.
  11. there are many different highway speeds. i run around 2000 at 55mph. does the tach go higher when you rev it? and, why doesn't your speedo work? sorry i must have missed the thread. it's probably simpler to just fix the speedo issue...
  12. you're right, because they don't exist.
  13. He'll fit right in in Noo Yawk. lol. i wonder how other teams would feel having the man who's pretty much wiped their asses all over the field play for them? i respect favre...but i'm sick of the drama.
  14. thank god. let THEM deal with the "i quit, no i want to play, maybe i'll quit, no i'll stay" drama
  15. ...i've been thinking of a comanche overland project... :brows:
  16. after the breather vent was added, it's not leaking very much (have not added oil since the first time it leaked tho it leaks drops here and there, it does not puddle up and is still at full) ...so i'm going to do the valve cover gasket, then pressure wash the motor and up inside the bellhousing, then just leave it be. there's very good potential that I will end up building a stroker...meaning money spent here would be wasted.
  17. uhhh, guessing by his sig, the lift is goin on his 05 TJ. i don't red so good. islexisdic. yep thts me
  18. and also realize that a TJ lift is different than an xj lift...the springs will net you 1" of lift or so.
  19. :D i couldn't agree more to this whole post...Pete (with Eagle's help of course) has given us a GREAT site to learn from, and a great family atmosphere. i was using camarov6forums or something like that for the simple fact that i've got a camaro v6 (go figure  ) in my jeep. their response was less than enthusiastic and along the lines of "go back where you belong". this place rocks
  20. yup. ...the front of my truck is lifted 6.5"...sooooo it will be simple as draining fluids, unbolting the pan and rear main cap, pushing out the old rear main, and installing the new one. i'll do the valve cover at the same time so I can flush the motor down with seafoam...will do this before i remove the oil pan, so that it doesn't just drain all over my face...
  21. :P sucker seems fine...leaks a few drops, gets a little wet underneath but nothing to cry about. still, i'll be replacing the rear main in the near future.
  22. distributor. did you swap all of the sensors and ECU? manifolds?
  23. restatement; i hate 20 year old 4.0's looking at a HO upgrade...even the EGR valve on this thing apparently isn't working right..
