This is actually an M170. The civilian version is known as the CJ-6. There is no such thing as a CJ-9. Jeep skipped it and went from CJ-8 to CJ-10. Not sure what happened to the CJ-9 designation, maybe an in house prototype that was destroyed? Willy i checking out on internet you wer right it M170 cuz my grandfather keeps tell me it cj9-b. i'm think to make look alike this one when i restored

i love that engine 258-6L i'll not swap leave it alone or just rebuild, it help to save your gas and also great for off road with low gear i used to have 258 in 1981 Wagoneer don't have any problem i sold to wagonmasters.com 6 year ago for a lot of money, 258 is Extreme Rare. grab that fix her up

Hello everyone! i own 86 Comanche Longbed 2.5 5-Speed 4wd 237k miles, factory steel rollbar & bedliner, it was black with red sticker i fix up do some body works has grey primer allover only things bad news busted tail gate, shift trans was down problem bad clutch, i plan put new engine and trans, also 2" to 3" lift. 8 years ago bought for $500 alike that came with steel roll bar on front & back bumper has weld on it i am little disappointed i could not remove both bumpers.
