  1. I guess mine being a 91 doesnt matter... it was an automatic and we took the pedals out of an 88...
  2. 4th of July sale! $20 off again until July 10!
  3. Mine is a 91! But I think first step, we're gonna warranty out everything again and start over
  4. Everything checks out how its supposed to. Feels the same as my dads mj. We'll take the MC off this weekend and warranty it out and try another new one. Wish there was a spring on the pedal...
  5. Didn't fix it.... Brake light stays on again... I'm frustrated with it! Brakes stay on just enough that I can't roll the truck by hand. And with a trailer it's multiplied...
  6. I have a TinyTach in my Comanche. It's for a diesel(my cummins) but they make em for gas engines too. It clamps around the spark plug wire (I think on gas) and reads the pulses. $100. Little nice display. And I have it mounted to the left of the cluster where the indicator lights are.
  7. I guess sometimes that's all it takes...
  8. Update: it seems that after just taking everything apart and putting it back together fixed he problem. Not a clue what was wrong...
  9. Bo has asked me before to make him a set of these since we both think $200 is a little steep. But not 100% sure how hard they'd actually be to make. The laser cut part is no problem and forming them probably wouldn't be an issue, it's just constructing them and doing the screw/mounting holes... Their website says 1/8" and 3/16" steel. What's is 3/16" on them? And I would also like some pictures of the inside of them when you take them back off. As for them being "legal" if everyone is that worried about them, either drill another hole and put in another light or don't buy these. That is the reason nobody makes mj parts anymore. Everyone cries about them and nobody wants to mess with them then. Just from the few parts I've built, ive realized this...
  10. If you're looking for a similar bumper and/or swb sliders let me know. I got the sliders out just before nates did... Shelbyluvv's truck is a good showcase of my products so far. And will be for future projects [emoji2]
  11. Only 2 hours from me! If I had $1700 (or even $1500 to offer them) I'd get it. I need another clean truck for my next engine swap! Nice simple bumpers too
  12. That's how I think I'm going to do the next swing carrier I make for Bo. A bolt thru a hole.
  13. New check valve, all lines are good.We took everything apart and put it back together, the same, nothing caught our eye as wrong or malfunctioning, and now it seems to work fine. Well for 1 day so far.
  14. Ours is non adjustable, of that is what you're pointing at. On the first booster we had, the rod was too long and wouldn't release.
  15. Well I swapped in a 3.3 Cummins...so needed a vacuum pump to make vacuum It's an alternator/pump off an Isuzu diesel.
  16. Everything you see is how it came...
  17. A couple weeks ago I randomly remembered about this and I called comp4x4 up... No answer Called again later, no answer. So I left a voicemail. No call back yet... Couple days after the calls I sent an email. Haven't gotten one back yet... Very very upsetting and frustrating.
  18. Most glass places won't install the rubber trim if it's not theirs. I ordered a factory replacement trim (7/8" rubber for the newer Cherokee) and safelite and other places wouldn't replace it and warranty it. So I had safelite get me the newer Cherokee glass (all the same but they have to order and document it as that specific glass) and they put their rubber trim on it, which is like 1.25" wide or so. It's a cheaper version than the factory one I have but it looks OK I guess. And it was $200 and a lot quicker and nicer people than the last company that installed the windshield so crooked and it leaked, but they wouldn't warranty it even though they said that it should be warranted. Straight from the owners mouth. Safelite, if possible, is the way to go anymore in my opinion.
  19. So my brake pedal keeps sticking down a little bit, engaging the brakes. Not locking them up, just dragging. And my brake lift stays on too since the pedal doesn't come back up all the way. Got a new booster, 2nd new one actually because on the first one, the rod was too long and the brakes kept locking up and staying on and wouldn't release. So got a 2nd booster... It had a junk yard Grand Cherokee master cylinder on it. We replaced it before changed the booster. So it's got a 2nd, brand new MC on it... Is there a maximum amount of vacuum to be run to these boosters? My alternator creates vacuum for brakes and we're not sure of maybe it's killing all the boosters we put on. These two problems (locking up 1st time and sticking a bit now) didn't happen as soon as new parts were installed. It's taken a couple months for the problems to start back up again... Any ideas?
  20. They mount the same, the end caps just aren't interchangeable. But I'm sure if you wanted to put the time in it to hack up and/or mold them to fit then you could...But they're totally different body lines... Actually, the newer bumper itself mounts differently to the brackets, but if you get the brackets too, they'll bolt up to the frame at the same three holes. Just to be clear. :)Right. That's what I meant. "Bumper" to me means ready to bolt to frame. And that includes the correct end caps.
  21. Heated floorboards... How my xj is with auto tranny. Leg warmer in the winter since I have no carpet in it...
  22. They mount the same, the end caps just aren't interchangeable. But I'm sure if you wanted to put the time in it to hack up and/or mold them to fit then you could...But they're totally different body lines...
  23. This is why I probably wouldn't do prototype work for/with anybody else! Amazing help along the way with everything we've done so far! And it's helped open some other doors as well!
  24. Almost got a set done and realized that I had built them wrong... There is a left and a right side. And I had to miter the ends at 45° also for a left and right side. I cut them both for a right side... Didn't notice until this picture. The slider tapers front to back, wider in front. The slider with the round step welded on is wider in the rear... 100% wrong. And these were supposed to be done so I could ship them to Bo today. Didn't happen. I'll have to have another set cut out and I'll build a good set and a bad set and do something with the bad set...Balls!
