  1. https://www.google.com/search?q=jeep+wj+control+arm+bushings&start=20&client=safari&sa=N&hl=en&tbs=vw:l&tbm=shop&prmd=sivn&srpd=10870676204921818662&prds=of:1,num:1,cid:9792764791303501222&ved=0ahUKEwilzZz45JHKAhWFkh4KHUyoBdg4FBCCNgjPAjAH&ei=X0CLVuWhNoWleszQlsAN sheesh at that price, though.
  2. Just don't buy the Dorman line off of Rockauto. Worst 25$ I ever spent... immediately had a massive leak where it connected to the master cylinder.
  3. did it mount up easily or require some persuasion? Haha.
  4. No necessarily, I have an FEY bumper mounted with OEM MJ Brackets on my Dads 89 ;) Did you weld it on? Doesn't look to me like the factory brackets will mate up with the Few bumper. (I have three of them.) That said, there were two different patterns for the factory rear bumper brackets, and I've only seen one of them. did anyone ever figure this out? I want to get an FEY bumper but don't want to spend the 50$+ for the brackets.
  5. hey :D that's punny right there I laughed entirely to hard at all of this. Probably will go with the 108$ ones when I do. Would it be bad to go ahead and install my control arms and steering components while my Jeep is just sitting for a few months? Don't know if the lack of use would wear them in some way for some reason. Might be a dumb question but I would prefer to ask before doing it and possibly ruining another set of steering components.
  6. By set I mean two pairs. Upper and lower! I want to swap my upper arms to WJ's as well due to the boxed construction, better bushings from what I've heard (tightens up the front end apparently) and because my control arms are original... bushings and all. Due for a replacment definitely. I searched the Moog part numbers on Amazon and came up with the 108$ shipped for all four Prime Choice brand (the parts number is the same.) The junkyards around here want 20-30$ per arm. All 3 that I've visited...
  7. I'm thinking about going ahead and getting my WJ front control arms while I'm waiting to get my transmission and all. Also planning to put on a new trac bar and ZJ steering. But I have a couple choices of WJ arms... I can either buy used from a junkyard (80$/set and probably need bushings) or buy a full new set of Prime Choice brand for 108$ shipped to me. Which would ya'll do?
  8. My church and I are up in Gatlinburg for Xtreme Winter. We were driving yesterday and I spotted a Comanche! Didn't get a picture but it was a completely camouflage longbed from what I could tell. Looked like it was sitting stock on 31's. I could swear I've seen it on here.
  9. Merry Christmas fellow Bama Mj-er! And Merry Christmas to all other MJ-ers!
  10. I did almost the same thing with my ported 10" Kicker sub box. Just yours looks much cleaner, considering you actually completed your carpeting of the back panel. Still gotta do mine. Looks great though!
  11. You can get the Bosch 69302 much cheaper than Napa's price. For instance Amazon or Rock Auto......... I got mine off of ebay for 65$ shipped. Arrived in 3 days. I also have a writeup on how to modify the sending unit for the Bosch pump to fit. I can't link it because I'm on my phone, but take a looksee in the DIY section!
  12. I'm on the search for a good external slave AX-15 and NP231! One that I can just swap in without worrying something is bad internally like the last AX-15 I got. If anyone has one or knows of someone with a good one then please let me know! I'll probably drive a good distance for the right deal. Getting ready to have my Jeep on the road again mid next year!
  13. There's a guy in the mj project sub forum, That has a lowered stretched tire 'manche. I don't mind lowered a couple inches or so, actually planned to do a 2wd like that eventually. Nothing extreme though. The tires just look dangerous and ugly to me lol. Personal preference. Same with the 20's, I just hate how they look.
  14. Rich kids around here do it to their obnoxiously loud GMC's and Chevys all the time. I hate the truck trends now a days and I'm glad I haven't seen someone transfer the trend to an MJ. I cannot stand any of it. Stretched tires especially. Since when were 20" rims considered attractive on a lifted truck?
  15. I'm keeping my stock front bumper but I love how the Nates looks. Glad to hear that it's strong! I just want a better hitch (to pull a small trailer with a lawnmower or some logs.) Nothing serious. But I'm cheap and want to get it for as cheap as possible haha
  16. Has Nates 4x4 already ran their sales this year? I know they usually run good coupon codes and sales during the end of the year but I got caught up in my new car and job and completely forgot which month it was. I was really hoping to get a rear bumper for a good deal this Christmas haha :D
  17. I went through nearly the same thing as you a couple months ago. My Jeeps been in the yard awaiting another AX-15 since. Except my loss was only 100$... it was an absolute b**** getting the crossmember to line up.
  18. Ol Attalla AL here :D
  19. The top couple of nuts are easier if you take out the transmission shifter and use a socket wrench through the tunnel hole in the cab. Otherwise, taking the Tcase out was a breeze for me both times I did it.
  20. I have been driving it back and forth to work for about two weeks now and I have to say I'm even happier with my purchase. Got a set of tires so it rides really smooth now. I have a new valve cover gasket for it because it has a small leak. And the heat doesnt work well, which sucks. But I'm almost positive it's the thermostat. I'm not putting any big bucks in it but I am going to get an oil change and new wires/plugs because God knows when they were changed last. It has a great aftermarket stereo in it. Very boring, but comfortable and reliable so far. After Christmas I will probably begin buying up Jeep parts slowly. I need an AX-15, hopefully external slave. And I kind of want to go ahead and build a rear axle with 3.55's. Plus ZJ steering box, WJ control arms, ZJ tierod, and maybe new balljoints. Heck, I might go ahead and build my front axle too!!!
  21. Finally got me a car! It's a 2000 Ford Contour. Runs like a top. Needs a couple small things and tires but all around it's a pretty sweet little car. I paid $1000 for it, I'm happy with the purchase.
  22. Did you just use Publix and good money in the same sentence? [emoji28] yes, actually. When coming from Winn Dixie, Publix actually pays really well.
  23. Just recently got to where I could actually grow a decent beard. Also recently started at the Publix they're opening in Rainbow City. So now it's clean shaven at all times. Tried not shaving right before work in the mornings and there was enough stubble for my manager to ask about it. *sigh* I've always wanted a beard but my love for good money gets in the way.
  24. The rear sets of holes on mine were not threaded. I made a mistake and threaded them to a standard thread size which I thought was the correct size (should of asked first instead of going off my own sense) and stupid me also made the mistake of threading my stock crossmember holes to that slightly bigger standard thread (don't ask why I did, I was very tired and upset at the time and wasn't thinking correctly) it really sucked putting the BA10 back in after my AX-15 ended up being bad. The bigger bolts made there be no wiggle room to line the holes up and thread the bolts. You live you learn.
