It has nothing to do with shifting gears because it does it sometimes as soon as I start it. And its not only revving up a little bit it revs up as high as the needle will go which is why I have to quickly shut down the truck until I can start it at a normal R.P.M. so that I don't blow my motor. The only way I notice it when I'm driving is when I let off the accelerater to slow down and instead I'm gaining speed without touching the pedal. The throttle is not sticking we've already checked that out.

My MJ has a bad habit of occasionally over revving on me. It does it sometimes when I start it, it will rev out to max. and it is really scary when it does it while I'm driving. I don't notice it till I go to shift gears. While it's in gear the R.P.M.'s are normal but the second I touch the clutch it revs up to max and I usually have to pop into nuetral and quickly shut the truck off and coast to the shoulder of the road and let it sit for 15-20 mins before I can start it again with out it revving up. Does anybody know what might be causing this?

Should my overflow tank be "boiling"
MJchick replied to SuperWade2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I to had the same problem this past summer. after about two weeks like that it started blowing all the coolant out the cap. After I bought a new bottle and cap from chrysler, I found out it was because my electric fan wasn't working. a friend of mine got it working for me and I haven't had a problem since. -
It was alot of fun. To bad my MJ's broke down right now, so I couldn't take it. But hopefully next year. It is good to be back on the site. Had a rough summer but things are getting back to normal now. Should be seeing me here lots now.

Me and my husband & 2 half grown kids are living in a 28 1/2 ft fifth wheel travel trailer at the moment. Have been since the end of may and with the rental prices around here probably will be for a long time to come yet. If we could find a trailer on a piece of property for a decent price you can bet we'd jump on it. We've lived in a couple mobile homes and there not so bad once you get settled into them.

Up here in Alberta Canada we've got lots of snow now to, but our temps last week broke records through out the province. We had temps down to -43 with -57 wind chills last monday that lasted till wednesday before we warmed up to -25 with -37 wind chills that are still hanging around. I'm a pipeliner and had to work outside in that the whole time.

Having problems with my high beams. If anyone knows how to fix this I would like any info you can give. When I turn my high beams on I have a hard time turning them off again, usually not in time for a passing vehicle. It usually takes a long time of me holding the switch for them to turn off. if it is the switch does anybody know how to change it.

Mne is the '90 Eliminator it came stock with dana 44 rear and its 4x4. I think they made the Eliminator for 3 years so the different years may have had different options. -

Have a 9000lbs winch for it now, The Eliminator came with bucket seats,Dana 44 rear, and the 4.0L. The light bar is bolted to tabs on the roll bar. Thanks for the comments. Getting a spool for the rear, and more lift 35's. -
Count me in to for a couple of each. 3-4 of each. I've got some friends who would love some to.

Looking for any info on a swap to put a 99 TJ diff in my 90 Comanche. My husband is upgrading his and we we're looking for info on putting his diff in my truck.

Exactly why my spare tire is on the roll bar in the back of my MJ. Sure I've got limited vision but i can work around that. As I always think it's better then driving a cargo van or even a truck with a canopy. I can see better, I can at least still see out my back window.

Just heard today that gas in Lloydminster Alberta just went up to 1.22 per litre, we're still paying 1.19 per litre.

I've got the '90 Eliminator with a 4 1/2 inch lift and soon to have 33's, Dana 44 rear and 30 front pretty much identical truck except for the rock guard along the bottom and I was offered $8000.00 for mine. I think he'd offer more if I would put a price on it to sell it. But as far as I'm concerned there ain't no price that would be worth that truck.
