I've got a replacement Airtex pump in mine from Autozone without issue. Also using a replacement fuel tank from Rockauto. As long as you have the sender itself and it's working, just redoing the old setup should work fine. Unless I'm missing something here.

On that topic, if you can help it, try your best to replace parts with high quality or Mopar parts. The OEM crank sensor on my truck lasted 145,000 miles. A cheap replacement lasted 800 but thankfully it didn't strand me. Cheap eventually becomes expensive.

I hear that Hella H4s are good but they require the headlight wiring to be upgraded, which is something that should probably be done anyway. Sylvania Silver Stars (what I have on mine) aren't bad either, and a little cheaper.

Didn't think so much science could go into a flashlight. Now I want one. Gotta ask, how much does one of those cost? :cheers:

I believe the tailhousing has to be swapped to one that will accept a transfer case, which involves partially disassembling it. It's not something I see as practical unless you can't find a proper 4WD transmission or you have some sort of attachment to yours. Happy to help! :thumbsup:

They do look pretty similar but not identical. If you're talking about the last Comanche of the Month, it's got stripes down the middle (matched to the camper) and the mirrors and wheels look different.

:rotf: That's brilliant. How did it place? Carbed 4.0 IMO isn't worth it. The injection system is simple by modern standards and it's only really a couple of different things that can cause trouble.

Don't think it would work without the AW4 being converted to 4WD (might as well get a whole transmission). Pretty sure rear driveshaft lengths are different between transmissions, not sure about the exact numbers. Front driveshafts for MJ and XJ are the same AFAIK, rear are not - rear axle also changes the length. Not certain but I think the actual transfer cases are the same whether it's an auto or a manual.

Was there a company actually making these things? That's two now this month. Thought it was a custom job, but still cool.
