  1. Silly RENIX and OBD-I guys squabbling, :rotf: OBD-II is where it's at!
  2. It's ok at best. It is basically a 318 with two cylinders removed. It would be just as much work to do a 3.9 swap as a 318/360 swap. Unless it is free, comes with a good transmission and all the wiring I would walk away from it.
  3. It has two different mirrors. Seems like that would be a sign of the attention to detail that went into the build of that truck.
  4. Nice but not a Metric Ton. No SWB trucks were.
  5. Use the classifieds to push your sale. Not a build thread.
  6. Wiring is a passion of mine as well. When everyone else runs for the hills with electrical gremlins, I'm running towards the problem. If you know wiring you are well ahead of most mechanics. I like the light. I think it's really cool. Good job!
  7. Never used them but I am buying a set. Those are cool!
  8. If you google "Comanche DashMat" you will find what you are looking for. https://www.google.com/search?num=20&q=comanche+dashmat&oq=comanche+dashmat&gs_l=serp.12...92441.92441.0.93355.1.1.0.0.0.0.664.664.5-1.1.0.msedr...0...1c.1.61.serp..1.0.0.BUtpGXtc_HY
  9. Grow a pair, walk into the recruiter office, damand a ship date. If he flounders walk out and tell him to get @#$%ed. You've been patient enough. Let them know this is their last chance to screw you around over a ship date. If they change it again tell him to shove your package up his @$$ and light it. If he sees you are serious he will fix it. If not go to the other services. If he has questions he can call me MSgt Robert L. Kennedy III (229) 639-6649 work (760) 668-6630 cell
  10. Congrats Austin! You would have got my vote if you only had a Comanche tailgate hanging on your wall. You are a great guy and this is a well deserved MJOTM!
  11. I'm glad you keep updating this thread. I might not post in it (mainly because I have nothing to add) but, I do read it. I personally appreciate the knowledge you are passing on. Thank you!
  12. If you want your pics to stay around don't use Facebook. They change the location name pretty often and your pics will vanish.
  13. http://www.amazon.com/Slime-40026-Heavy-Direct-Inflator/dp/B005Z8HAUK#productDetails I have this compressor and for the price is absolutely amazing! It will take a 33/12.50 from 12 PSI to 30 PSI in 3 minutes flat.
  14. You will catch hell finding a converted truck for under $4000. I know first hand how much it costs to build one. I have over $5k in mine. Good luck with the search. When I finish mine this summer I will not take a penny less than $6500 for it.
  15. There are even a few idiots who swapped fuel injected V8s Magnums into 86s.
  16. There is no right answer. Do some research and read the link. There are several different ways to swap a 4 0 into a 86. You can decide which way is best. Don just gave you one of them. With your entitled attitude you are better off with facebook teaching you the right way.
  17. It's paved all the way to the top now. Not any worse than a scenic drive.
  18. I'm sure the tech on there is so much better than here. There's a reason I unfollowed all the XJ and MJ pages on FB. They suck! Good luck
  19. I have Ford Ranger mirrors on the doors of my 86. I like them because they are cheap and easy to get.
  20. Is that the same guy who built that long Wrangler and the Gaucho truck?
  21. A 86 has a really small core support opening. A 3 core aluminum radiator is needed at a minimum to keep it cool. I have a custom rad in my 86 and had to get a slim electric fan for them to play nice together. Good luck!
  22. I thought that was Ben's MJ behind your CTD Austin.
  23. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1057821&page=7 About half way down the Page is where the dirt issues come up. The two guys with the issues are members here as well. I looked at that pic on the first post again and that is a HO motor. The Renix has it's own special issues to adapt a CAI to. How exactly does that work any how? Hose out of the airbox into the cowl. Then run the intake hose like stock and seal up the front of the air box?
  24. This and a LOT of dust. Check out the reviews on the Spectra cowl filters on the XJ forums.
