  1. Been there a time or four myself. It's a piece of reflective glass. It didn't do anything to me.
  2. Next time I go to the yard I'll get a pic of it. The tails were gone. They were the first thing I looked for after I saw the door tag. It also had the euro spec side markers on the fender. It was a pretty cool little Jeep.
  3. Yesterday I sold my boat to fund a vehicle for my step daughter. In the process of doing a trade I found this little 2wd 96 XJ. Clean with only 150k on it. We struck a deal and I bought the little guy for $1700. Sold the POS boat for $1800 so it was a good day. Got it home and swapped on some nicer wheels and tires. On the drive home she started to run a little warm with the AC on and the driver's side mirror was floppy. I knew then I needed to do a junkyard run. The wife and I went to my local yard and picked up a 98 E Fan, door limiting strap, MJ tail lights and some 97+ mirrors. These ones had a slight difference in their appearance though... They came off a Canadian Jeep in the California desert. The data tag on the driver's door was in Arabic as well. I think they're pretty cool!
  4. Ok man, good luck with that. I'm done with this.
  5. Then those springs need to be replaced because they 1) can't hold up to any load or towing 2) will cause horrible axle wrap
  6. SOA is a minimum of 5" of lift.
  7. Blocks will lower an MJ, just saying...
  8. 33s on 4.5" and rubbed like hell 265/75r16 (32s) rubbed a lot less
  9. You don't need to go SOA. You can get Hell Creek leaf packs and do Drop Brackets in the front.
  10. I wouldn't put a cRusty's part on my Jeep if it was given to me. Absolute junk. I pieced together my lift and got awesome parts and better ride quality. Look up the "Alexia lift" in the DIY section.
  11. If you had rust in the filter you probably have it in the sock. Pull the pump and check the sock.
  12. Got mine today. I'm glad I did.
  13. Thanks fellas. I am getting settled. Still looking for all of my tools and parts. They are in boxes somewhere...???
  14. I went to my local junkyard today and found the correct switches for my AC system. I had to take one off a Dodge Ram and another off a Grand Cherokee. For some reason my "97" wiring is not the same as other 97s out there? I put the switches in and tried to put a can of 134 in and it wouldn't kick the compressor on. I jumped the compressor the battery and it clicked and spun. Then the sparks started flying out of the clutch. Back to the yard for a clutch. Of course my compressor is different than all the rest out there. I pulled a clutch and spacers off a Ram and headed home to put it on. Got the compressor on and fired up the truck. I have AC! After three years of sweating and hating my truck, I can now cruise in comfort!
  15. I don't use FB groups for Tech advice. I use them for buying and selling crap.
  16. Today I dug out my favorite piece. I've been hoarding this for a few years. I have to give thanks to Adam for this as well. Today I installed my MJ specific Visor. I also put a tire a carrier in the bed.
  17. XJ front 44s do exist. They were for export only though.
  18. Those are coming as well. Not sure about the rear bumper. I am thinking a chrome double tube. But, the front is black. Decisions...
  19. I want the 86 swoosh 4x4 graphics in gray and silver. Like these
  20. More 80's gold. I put my brush guard on this morning. Then it flat out got hot outside.
  21. Ain't got nuttin' But they should be here Friday. I have a tracking number and my PayPal has been charged.
  22. Yesterday I modified some LJ nerf bars to fit on the truck. Today I removed the shell and fitted my roll bar. I can't want to get this truck on the road. She is looking so sexy!
  23. Yes, Yes they are! So beautiful!
  24. Today I decided to put on my LJ steps. I am going for a total 80s look on my truck. I have a chrome roll bar, chrome steps and a chrome push bar. It wasn't all that hard to do. They don't flex when you stand on them and they look pretty good.
