Well i drove it home the other day and boy does it get up and move , i was poking around the yard at work letn it warm up and was making a fairly tight turn (on pavement) and in second gear 1500 rpm i jumped on it at about 3/4 throttle and it spun around on me and it was awsome . though i have yet to put some more seat time in it so far it feals great and definately worth the money. o ya and i found out that i have a 5th gear

If my memory serves me right and nothing has changed lately that i don't know about the 5.38 u mentioned are for standard rotation (low pinion) and or eariler model 30's and those won't work with the revers rotation 30's that most of us are running , further more i wouldnt recomend runing more than a 4.88 because the pinion starts to become extremly small and is then the weak link in the drive train

O NOW U TELL ME!!

Well i came in to work at 6:00am to find out the other mechanic is out with kiddny stones , no big deal just more work for me . about ten minutes later i get a call over the two way " Bus 5 to garage" , damn bus broke down a couple miles from work so i get in the shop truck and drive out to have a look and am followed by a spair bus to replace the broke down bus . i get there and the thing sounded bad and i knew it wasnt making it back so had to call the tow truck . the tow truck finaly came and hooked up and we headed to the shop and in the maby three miles to the shop the the tow truck driver managed to mangle the front tow hooks / bend the bumper and smash the entry door skidplate and scratch the paint but again no big deal but more work for me :headpop: . then i get home and find a box with my name on it from a guy named pete and the day didnt seem as frustrating

i agree with mitch , u need to ditch the box tubing as it apears to be to thin and maby weld some 1/4" flat bar or some andle iron to the tube and then bolt it down but like u said run it for a couple days and see how u like it and if its gona stay then go from there .

That is one super clean mj, it does apear to have been repainted at least on one side , and my i ask as to why u painted the hood flat black over a nice paint job . the flat black hood is a clasic on some hot rods but they atleast don't have the tigerstripes? -
I made mine outa some 3/8" plate to the frame , 1.5" pipe and 1/4" plate for the winch mount .

O boy i hate mice , but i love to hunt them. i work on school buses and have had to hunt the little buggers often and my favorite trap is the standard spring trap but i use all natural peanut butter as the bate (no additives) and that seams to work the best . what i recomend is to place a trap at each tire making sure to place the trap close to the tire and one or two in the cab . also what u need to do is start pulling the dash plastics and stereo out as thats most likly where they are going to be hiding because its always warm there. happy hunting

ITS ALIVE , i didnt get a chance to work on it this weekend cuz of easter but the wife got off work early today (she picked up the kid) so that gave me a couple of hours to wrench and stuf but it runs . i was off by a mile on the initial timing due to a slight mis calculation  , but a little fiddiling and it runs . i still got to adjust the carb and what not but it RUNS!!!

i had a lockright in my 35 for 4 years and i broke the cross pin with in the first month and fixed it , then the last year it was in i broke the pins in the lock right and so i just welded it up and figured id run it till it broke and it never did but then i was runing the 2.8 v6 and i drove the piss out of it . now if it had the 4.0 in it it would be a different storie because my rubicon LJ 6 speed gets it like no other

well in highschool it was refered to as the P.O.S. and some where in the mix it got changed to F.U.B.A.R. and the 86 is for the year and the name has just stuck . when i get the body mods done the name will make more sense , lets just say flat fenders ,round headlights and lotsa tube :nanner:

i usualy get looks at my ride every time i drive it especialy since the ones u see around hear are bone stock or realy hammered , not that mine is all that and a bag of chips but it is far from stock . also when the rear end is welded , u got no muffler and no sway bar and ur sporting the 2.8L which is singing at a constant 4 grand plus being driven like it was stolen helps to :chillin:

sweet ride , were r u located at and pleas ditch those fender extension thingies in a hurry. o and the beer is in the fridge  and stay away from the tan bench in the corner :brows:

I have herd many bad stories about fram and stoped using them years ago and use nothing but WIX and that also is one of the reasons y i don't shop at places like autozone , kragen and napa (unless i have to) that IMO carry garbage parts and on top of that the majority of the people that work there are stupid (not to offend any one) and can't tell the difference between their a$$ and a hole in the ground

i put on some large valve heads on my 2.8 that came off a blazer and noticed a definite seat of the pants difference and i bet if u did a cam or some 1.6 rockers that it would be better . also the edelbrock intake is a good choice with either a good 4 barrel carb or do the 2 barrel webber . but by far the best thing iv done is the gearz (4.88 on 33), but i still had to drive the thing within an inch of its life all the time but since ur truck is mostly stock i think u would do better than i.i also upgraded the ignition system with an msd offroad ignition/ wires and soon a coil and a k&N air filter. wile everything i did to the engine was good it wasnt good enuf for me and am curently swaping in the 3.4 and if ur intrested i still got the large valve heads id be willing to sell, they are fully rebuilt and only got like 100 miles on them .

I personaly think that the currie setup is nice but not as nice as the jcr and on top of that the currie dosnt even use real 1 ton TRE as does the jcr stuf. though i have not personaly run the currie setup i know enuf people that do and would not recomend it for anyone that was gona use it off road as i don't feel it is rock friendly enuf. i personaly run the jcr (in an otk configuration) and wouldnt trade it for anything . but thats just my opnion as fer other upgrades get cromos and quality u-joints  -

Well i was figuring on either fabricating a crossmember that the belly pan would also mount to or mounting it to the under side of the bed or cab , but i like the crossmember idea more. o and this is on a long bed manche to.
