No Atomic, but I looked at it ;) The price was great--$26 for two including tip--with good service. There is one in Clearwater, Florida that we will have to check out next time we go to that coast.

We have the Garmin Nuvi 200W and love it. It is updatable, and gives you notifications right on the screen when it's time to download an update. We have used it many times traveling short, as-well-as long trips, and have never been disappointed or mislead.

We are still in PA right now, and just got home from a mid-day smorgasbord of wings at the Original Quaker Steak & Lube location in Sharon, PA. It was a little over an hour drive to get there, BUT...well worth it!!

Absolutely... Thanks...

We are loaded up and ready to roll. Going to bed now, but we'll be leaving at about 7:00 a.m.. OH...and my truck is pretty well loaded now, as we have decided to do some camping and biking while we are up there, so the camp gear and bikes pretty well filled the truck up. ;)

Edelbrock Remote Reservoir Shocks - Feedback?
BLHTAZ replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have never run them, but I sold quite a few when I worked at 4 Wheel Parts, and had nothing but great feedback. -
I run 4.56 gears with 35" tires, 4.0L, AX-15 in our '95 YJ. I would not want the ratio any lower as it can start out in second gear most all the time. I will agree with Eagles scenario if you have an automatic transmission, but with a manual, I think those ratios are a little to low for the tire sizes. For a combination vehicle (driver & play) I have always used 3.73 for 31", 4.10 for up to 33", 4.56 for up to 35", and 4.88 for up to 37". If the vehicle was off-raod only, I would step down a notch on all of thsoe ratios though.

Yea...the gear sets alone are $500 +/- each at the dealership. You can get both axles done in the aftermarket for $1200 easily...and probably less.

Anything older than 1990 is now considered "Classic" and they put a high price tag on it. I just looked mine up on NADA and it said $7900. When I lived in NC back in the late 80's & early 90's, they did the same thing there, but only for newer than 10 years. Just curious about something though. What is the "R" in RMV. Every state that I have lived in, the place you go to do what you are talking about is called the DMV...Department of Motor Vehicles, but I have never heard of a RMV...??

Just an FYI for terminology... A 4.10 ratio is a lower ratio than 3.55. When talking about gears, the higher number means lower gear ratio. From my experience, 3.55 gears would be the optimum ratio to run if you are not going any larger than a 235. The high rev from the 4.10's wll not damage the engine, but it is quite annoying...I have been there--done that, and it sucks.

It's the light itself that is the problem. I have seen a few guys on here that were able to take them apart, clean them up, find the problem, and get them to work, but...it's rare.
-
Most of the original lights do not work. Some can be repaired, but a good share of htem have to be replaced with something else. There are write-ups in the DIY forum on different ways of replacing them.

A picture might help if no one is familiar with what you are asking...

I am, and have been, an AMSOIL dealer for about 6-7 years now as well ;) . Seafoam is good stuff for cleaning out deposits, but it is not intended for continuous use. It is great stuff, and I use it as well, but it will damage an engine if used too often.
-
I used AMSOIL 75-140 gear oil in my truck with a trac-loc. It did just fine and did not need any additive at all. Conventional oils need additive with clutch style traction devices...AMSOIL does not as long as you use the 75-140.
-
Yea...it appears that I got things mixed up. Thanks for the heads-up on that. I guess we will just have to wait on a QS&L visit until we make our next trip to the Clearwater area back here in Florida.

Unfortunately, you can not get them at a dealership any more. They were discontinued long ago. I tried finding them when I was working at the dealership several months ago, but to no avail. I honestly don't know where to find them any more... :dunno:

You will not find light bars (called roll bars, but not). I got mine from a 2001 Ford Ranger. Bumpers are being made by a couple different companies now. ProtoFab 4x4 has some nice front bumpers (for XJ, but they fit MJ). They are working on a rear MJ bumper, but it's not out yet. JCR Offroad also has some nice stuff including front bumpers, rear bumper, and rock sliders.
-
It's definitely a good price, but like CW, I have no idea of the reputation or quality of the bar.

Looks like the one in Bloomsburg, PA is the closest to I-79. It is about due East of Pittsburgh just a couple miles off of I-79. We should be passing through that area near lunch time on Sunday ;)

Truck won't run. *VIDEO* Need idea's
BLHTAZ replied to Qui Gon-Jinn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Glad to hear you got it  Isn't it great to learn new things?  -
Actually it does...Synthetic is is a much better choice to have if there is moisture/water present. Water will blend with a conventional oil and break it down, but that will not happen with Synthetic, as it repels moisture and retains viscosity.
-
It's a very small difference that will cause no problems. This is just the distributors of conventional lubes grasping at straws, trying to discredit a superior product that they can't compete with ;)

It was a long, hot, exhausting day, but there was a huge turnout. They had 306 Jeeps registered in the event on Saturday with 700-800 people in attendance. I can only imagine that it would have been twice that if spectators would have been allowed in. There were 208 Jeeps in the parade that went through Daytona and down the beach on Sunday. I got a couple pictures, but we were pretty busy, so I didn't have a chance to get much. I'll post some later today when I have time to get them out of the camera.

My sister and brother-in-law just made a trip down to GA from PA to pick up their son from college (Taccoa) for the summer. They made a comment about that place, but I have never heard of it. It doesn't appear that there is one within a reasonable distance of our travel route to check out though.
