Salt truck put a hole in my radiator!!!!!!
BLHTAZ replied to josh_317's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Don't think there is any way to answer that. I have seen it fail in a couple weeks and I have heard people say that they have run it for 2 years. The fact is...it's purpose is a temporary fix to get you to a place that you can fix it properly  -
OK newbie question here, 60 under and unibody?

No...that was the TJ Rubi that did that. The JK D44's are actually a quite sought after axle and not terribly expensive to get direct from Jeep. -

They work good, but it is a temporary fix. It won't last long term so the best thing to do is see if it can be repaired. -

I have a friend with two XJ's that have D60's under them. I don't see why there would be an issue with that... :dunno: The Green one still has the D30 front, but the Yellow one is D60 front & rear. I was driving the Green one on this trip to Tellico, NC :D -
OK...all the shirts are ordered. I will get them tomorrow (12/9/08) and then begin the sorting process to ready them for printing. This is crazy... I have never done an order like this with so many different colors & styles of shirts :ack: . Thanks to all of you that have put up with my picky behavior on how the orders were placed as it sure helped keep things more manageable for this part of it  . I'm also glad that I asked for phone numbers as I have had to call a few of you over issues that came up while I was online orderng them  OH...and because I have been asked a few times now too... The total number of shirts ordered was 76.

I have thought that about my wife a couple times when she has complained about things (noises, feeling things etc...) on here Jeep. The strange thing is...evertime I chalked it up to her just hearing things that were nothing...it became something that cost me moeny & frustration that could have been avoided if I had only taken the time to listen to her and check it out thoroughly...  ;)

I agree with more info needed. Either trade vehicles (as suggested) or ask her to pay attention to exactly when she hears it and what she is doing at the time.

I have been through it too. I was not diagnosed with apnea, but I did end up having a roto-rooter surgery on my sinuses and a little laser work in my throat. The sinus thing was great and I wish I had done it many years ago, but the throat laser was ungodly painful and not worth it at all...I still snore and now I choke on things real easy if I am not careful. Hope all goes well for you...

If you have a 231 t-csae, the vacuum switch that screws in it with the 4 hoses connected it probably sticking. It is a fairly common problem and can sometimes be fixed by just tapping on it a bit to make it release, but sometimes it is stuck and needs to be replaced like mine was.

Yes...we could definitley use that extra game cushion :D I'm thinking we might have a small chance against the Titans in a couple weeks

:agree:

No apologies needed around here. Informed decisions is what it's about.

When you pull the cover, it will be obvious which way it needs to go, but it is to the left (driver side) so the collar will permanently keep the two shafts connected. Everything else will operate as it always did.

IB watching. So far, this has got to be one of the ugliest games I've seen in awhile............. No kidding...Half time is over...I'll be back later...

Take the IAC out, clean it real good and then be sure to clean the throttle body as well paying good attention to where the IAC goes in. It may be a defective IAC, but this will tell you if it's just a carbon build up that is not allowing the IAC to close.

Just use the edit feature on your post and go to the end of the sentence, click so your cursor is at the end after the word bumper and before the tag for that first picture then hit enter. It will move the picture down one line and everything will be good

Very nice  It must really suck to live in a placae that you can't have window tint and they are going to be picky about the length of the tail pipe :shake: . I hate seeing a tail pipe so I have always cut them off up under the back of the truck so they are not visible. So...what are the project plans?

Tickle Me Elmo: There is a factory in Northern Minnesota which makes the Tickle Me Elmo toys. The toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms. Well, Lena is hired at The Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her first day promptly at 8:00 am. The next day at 8:45 am there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door. The Foreman throws open the door and begins to rant about the new employee.. He complains that she is incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up, putting the entire production line behind schedule. The Personnel Manager decides he should see this for himself, so the 2 men march down to the factory floor. When they get there the line is so backed up that there are Tickle Me Elmo's all over the factory floor and they're really beginning to pile up. At the end of the line stands Lena surrounded by mountains of Tickle Me Elmo's. She has a roll of plush red fabric and a huge bag of small marbles. The 2 men watch in amazement as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it around two marbles and begins to carefully sew the little package between Elmo's legs. The Personnel Manager bursts into laughter. After several minutes of hysterics he pulls himself together and approaches Lena . 'I'm sorry,' he says to her, barely able to keep a straight face, 'but I think you misunderstood the instructions I gave you yesterday...' 'Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles.

I think that was before the purple paint job... ;) . It doesn't have the bumpers on it in that video either.

Yep...I was surprised to find piles of little sqaure pieces of broken glass under mine. The truck had evidentally been wrecked and shattered some windows at some point, but no one cleaned the glass out of it.

Taking the seat out is easy. Like Pete said...it take a 13mm wrench and or socket and about 5 minutes ;) . If you are not concerned with safety and the seatbelts abaility to hold, then rig it up if you wish...but not a smart thing to do IMO :shake:

:rotfl2: Building a rig like that...you really don't care about MPG or highway issues...or at least I wouldn't and most of the folks I know don't ;) Very nice work. I don't like flames on vehicles, but you get a big thumbs up for a nice job on the truck over all.
