Hey Tracy...glad to see you back man  :D I have been wondering how you were making out with your situation. What dealership are you at now?

Very glad to hear that things are progressing well amidst all the incompetance. When I hear people say that they don't believe in God, or that the Bible is just a good "story" book to model your life after, I just shake my head and hope that one day they will get to see the real power of God. It appears that you and Cindy have had the chance and can truly understand that there is a God and his power is beyond what we can fathom. He has blessed both of you and I can only hope that you will return the favor and let folks know what you now believe. Our continued prayers are with you!

OK...I think they found the problem. It appears that there was a bad cable underground and they had to replace it. Everything is working right now, but I will remain skeptical until it gets past 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and it's still going. It's blazing fast right now though...

I have seen many MJ's & XJ's with that same shift handle. Don't know why it seems so popular :dunno: . It was in mine when I bought the truck. -
School is going good so far. I have turned in 4 assignments to this point and so far have received an A on all of them. My internet is still nearly useless as it is only up for about 3-4 hours a day now between 2 & 6:00 p.m. :ack: ...AND, now the cable TV is on the same schedule, so no TV except between 2& 6:00 p.m. as well. Chico...and anyone in need, I still have good connections at the dealership, so if anything is truly needed from there and I can get you a good enough deal, I'll be happy to  . Well...back to school work...

I bought a set of THESE for mine. The buckle end looks a little weird, but they work great.

These types of places may be your best hope. You are looking for one of the hardest things to find for these trucks any more unfotunatley.

Sorry to hear it man... :( I have been out of work from the automotive business since November 3rd. I just started school (at 44 years old) to get my AA in Healthcare Administration as there is just not much promise in the auto field any more. :shake:

 Excellent! Make it work...get it dirty

Thanks Wade. I have popped in here and looked a few things over from time to time over the last few days, but I knew if I let myself get started posting that I would be here for way too long and jeopardize getting my school work done. ;)

Sorry for my lack of participation lately, but my Internet connection is only up between about 1-2:00 p.m. until around 8:00 p.m.. The cable company has been working to figure it out for a weel or so now, but can't find the trouble. They have repalced every cable and piece of equipment in my house to no avail. :headpop: Being that I have just started going to college online, this is a real hassle and I have to use most of my available time online for school. I know I have some requests for help on things in PM box so I will try to get those done here today before I run out of time again.

Yea...I'm in Orlando  Plant City is about 45 minutes to the SW of Orlando ;)

I kused the TeraFlex kit on our YJ. Nice kit, but the drag link was a little too long and had to be cut down about 3/4" to get the steering wheel straight again.

I agree. EVERY other board that I am on has a minimum post count that must be achieved before classified posting is allowed. My reasoning is primarily the same as Wildman so I won't go in to any long elaboration.

Some have had decent luck with Rusty's suspension stuff but I have known more that have not. Issues I have seen have been both leaf springs and coils sagging and/or breaking and brackets breaking. Those that have had trouble also have reported VERY poor customer service in getting the issues taken care of-either being refused warranty or just a total lack of communication. I have two friends that this has happened to and for that reason I will not deal with Rusty's and I will never recommend that anyone else buy suspensions from them. I am a big fan of Rubicon Express myself. We have two members on here that sell quality stuff as well... Motion Offroad and Hell Creek Suspensions

On my '02 Ram, itwas the NVLD pump itself that had gone bad. I replaced the pump, purge solenoid and all evap hoses as most of them were cracking anyway and would have soon been a problem. Small cracks in evap hoses is more often the cause of this code but the cap is sometimes it.
-
Nothing wrong...as I said above...you should here it. When I start my truck, I always turn the key to the on position, wait for the pump to stop and then start the truck. I can hear it run for about 2 seconds to pressurize the system.

Those wheels 95% of the time are 3 5/8" - 3 3/4" BS. In either case, you will be fine
-
The gas cap is only a "fairly common" cause of that code. It could be, as is also likely, that there is one or more small cracks in the rubber evap hoses under the Jeep. There is a hose harness assembly on the rear of that Jeep, that includes the rear axle vent line, that commonly needs replaced because of cracks. Try the cap tricks and see if it fixes it. If not, the search is on for the faulty hose.
-
You should be able to hear the fuel pump for just a couple seconds when you move the key to the on position as it pressurizes the system. If you are not hearing anything, then you should do a fuel pressure test to be sure, but it would seem that there may be a problem. Hearing it is a good thing on these trucks.

Yea...it's a myth. There were some folks a few years back that did some testing on the Daytona Internation Speedway and found that there was only a difference of about .5 mpg at speeds over 80 mph.

Here is a Fox News story on it... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,505172,00.html
