  1. I just found an old book here at the dealership with paint codes for that year... Colorado Red = PE4 Bright Red = PE3 The book is not specific about which vehicles the colors apply to, but it says that they were used from '87 - '89.
  2. Actually...if you use potato skins it works fairly well. My friends that did it said it was a fair amount of relief to peel a potato and put the potato side of the skin directly on the eye.
  3. :laughin: Sounds like a fun project. I'll be watching this one
  4. AHHH...it's a "bling" thing... ;) :brows: OK...thanks...I was just wondering. Yes, the aluminum cover is easy to use a real gasket on as well.
  5. I have already checked the Mopar number. It's discontinued and gone unfortunately.
  6. Here's a big "atta-boy" pat on the back for ya... :D Very nice description though. Sure tells me that I don't want to have to do that job ;) .
  7. 3.5 - 4" lift is going to be tough to achieve with a bastard pack without creating a pretty rough ride. I chose to use the Hell Creek Suspensions springs for a 3" lift. You could always add shackles for just a little more if needed  . I tried the AAL before that and it was a HORRIBLE ride.
  8. Send me that last 9 digits of you VIN and I will look it up for you.
  9. You might try looking through the "Projects" forum for a while. Making a list of factory options would be quite a job unless someone has already found one and copied it here, but I don't remember seeing it anywhere.
  10. Nice truck, but it's at $2850 and still says "Reserve Not Met" so it's already past what I would be willing to pay for it.
  11. Dude...that sucks. I was really thinking that you had flash burn as well from your description. I have never had it, but a few of my frineds have and they described it just the same way as you just did. Hope you get a little rest as it is 6:00 AM and you are hopefully still sleeping.
  12. The starter bulge is near the slave cylinder. It comes in from the front too... ;) not through the bell housing.
  13. :laughin: Got me too... http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10961
  14. It's freakin' hilarious. I did a double take on it at first... :rotfl2:
  15. I wouldn't call a stamped steel cover an upgrade. That scenario just doesn't make sense to me...why would you want to change from the aluminum cover if nothing is wrong with it? Sounds like a lot of unnecessary expense. :dunno:
  16. I didn't realize that was you. I thought you put those shiney wheels on here rig?? ;)
  17. Sweet!! I wish we had some terrain around here like that.
  18. I like it...make Steph the Winner...bury the Whiner
  19. I just installed it as is. These trucks came from the factory without a gasket on them. If I look up the application at work, there still is no gasket listed for it and our engine guy at work uses only silicone on them. I figured if I paid that much for a gasket...it had better work as is ;) ...and it has done great
  20. AHHHH... That explains those pics. I was wonder why the hell someone would be painting their rig in the middle of a wheelin' weekend. I was thinking that he should not be out there if he is that anal about his rig :laughin:
  21. That wheel is way to wide for that tire as the tire is only 9.64" wide. The tire should always be at least 2" wider than the wheel. Definitely would not go any wider than 8", but that tire is intended to be on a 7" wheel. Not only would it look very goofy, but it is not really safe either as there would be too much chance of the tire coming off the bead with only a slight loss of air pressure.
  22. Not difficult to do at all. Be sure to get the good gasket from Fel-Pro. It runs about $35, but it's worth every penny. Here is some info on my build thread. It's about half way down on page two... http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... c&start=15
  23. j/k ... One of these years I will be in PA when there is a Jeep event going on. Every time I am there...there is nothing happening.
  24. If you or a friend have fabricating ability, then you could "make" it work with some cutting & welding  .
  25. Well...after starting to read this thread, I was already formulating a reply before finishing the read, but when I got to this...the only other thing I can now think to say is... DITTO... Before coming to this site, I was a FIRM believer that DW was caused by a mechanical defect and never would have considered tire balance as a cause. After some reading here and some research in a few other places, I now agree that it is (as Eagle has said) the most probable cause in most cases.
